| Need Help: Restoration of a 1965 Amby
I am posting this thread on behalf of my friend. He has a 1965 Amby (owned by his grandfather) and needs to restore it to the mint condition.
The planned jobs:
1. A complete paint job and chrome work (need to retain the originality)
2. New Alloys and Tires
3. Power Steering / Windows
4. Leather seats
5. A new engine (Is it possible to source an Innova's engine or atleast Qualis? Thinking of ruling out Isuzu coz of the heavy weight and possible age of the engine)
In short, the car should keep all the legacy of the Amby and move like any other car in the market now.
The car is in Thrissur, Kerala. Which is the best body shop / work shop in Thrissur, where all these works can be carried out? And where can we source the engine for it?
I dont have the pics of the car now. I will upload once i get them. |
