How to clean fabric mats ?

Hi. Me and my parents are confused as to how does one clean ,by clean, I mean a complete wash, not just a temporary scrub-off, fabric mats ? It's our first time experience with those, and my parents have sent them for dry-clean while I promised them a saner solution next time they got dirty.

Any tips ?

I searched the archives but all I found was that they're a pain to clean.

1. Vacuum clean.

2. Clean it with a moist cloth and car brush.

Here's what I do
1. Pick up all the bigger visible waste (Kurkure, cashews, gems etc - Thanks to my Son & Wife) as much as possible
2. I use Eureka Forbes vaccum cleaner to clean all the sand particles, though bit difficult, I don't have a choice. I use suction first followed by the blower.
