Hi guys,

Its been 10 months since I have got this Honda Civic M/T after using a A/T Civic for more than 2.5 years. Although was very happy and satisfied with a A/T, i wanted a car that is nicer performance wise, a car that can do quarter miles quicker. I know its not my daily job to do drags but its always fun to know your car can do better quarter miles than other similar cars. So, an automatic was not a good option to add performance to as it is already slower than the manual one. Then it was a time to get a new car. I had a budget of around 12 for a new car and no budget for any mods. I settled for M/T civic and then thought of doing mods on it slowly as and when my budget permits. I always wanted my car to look and perform well. I cannot do with only performance and no looks. Infact, looks are slightly more important for me than performance.

So, it was first time to do the cosmetics makeover.
Here is the stuff i got cosmetically:

Mugen Replica Bodykit
Front Projector Headlights
Fog Lamps
Front Grill in Black
Hood, Roof and Boot in Black
Debadged the rear with only H logo in the back

Also, ICE was installed in the meantime. Parts list below:

JVC AVX-726 7" Touchscreen HU
Two Sets of JBL GT5-S265C in stock locations
Two 12" Pioneer TSX-306 Subs
One JBL GT5-S644 four channel amplifier powering compos
One Sony XM-ZZR3301 mono amplifier powering the subs
Original JBL Wiring Kits
Little bit of damping in the front doors.

Now, i was pretty satisfied with the looks and sounds of it. It was now time to do the performance mods at a slow pace. The first thing was installing a FFE. I searched at a few places and settled for Viper's FFE as it was VFM in my opinion. I ordered complete FFE fron Viper and i must say i got great service from him. No delays, prompt replies and good product. I would highly recommend Viper Performance for all kind of mod jobs.

About the FFE, it came well packed and fitted without any trouble. It was a bolt-on to the original locations just as a stock exhaust will. Currently, I have not tested it for any 0-100 timings, which I soon will do on the iphone’s dynolicious software and report here. But, I feel that the mids are a little more powerful than before and I know there I will get more power after installing of CAI, which is my next step. I am just saving for it. After the CAI has been installed, I am planning to remap the ECU. But, I will need to save a lot for it. So, it is going to take some good amount of time to get installed.

Anyways, below are some pics of my car and the installation pics of FFE:

congrats bro it looks cool, good to see a civic FFE ;) Jiggy bhai did a good job,its a 100% bolt on kit really liked it Happy revving :D

Ramie

Congratulations.
Civic deserves a polished steel muffler from Magnasound/Remus/Borla.

How about a video of the exhaust?.

FFE with a CAI would really help.
Instead of going for a Branded CAI you can also get it fabricated which is a cheaper option and you will almost get the same gains.
Just install a K&N/Green Cotton filter and fabricate the piping.
Jiggy bhai can make this happen

just my 2 cents.

enjy the ur ride

cheers viky

Err, if you're going to touch the intake, make sure you do it after the stock air box. If you touch the MAF sensor housing, you'll ruin the whole thing.

Where did you get it done in jalandhar. From whom you have got those cosmetic mods done.I want to mod my ohc and looking for a modifier in punjab.

Sweet install @captainsokhi!! I guess you have removed the cat-con and put a straight-through muffler. But what about headers?! Aren't they necessary for a FFE setup? Pardon my limited knowledge, but just an observation.

So basically the cat con has been removed and replaced with a straight through pipe and the end can is changed to a louder one.

nice mods. cosmetic as well as FFE. Video please.

You cannot replace the headers on the R18 engine in the Civic. Precisely why I feel that the Indians have got the short end of the stick w.r.t. the Civic sold here.

It's the same with all R18 Civics sold everywhere in the world. You can't fault Honda for the typical Indian mindset about economy. Can you imagine them getting any sales at all with a K series engine? :Frustrati

Yeah, I meant that Indians weren't lucky enough to get the K series engine. They could've done a limited edition thing like with the Hybrid.

Now we are talking kaptaan sahb, that's what bling bling is. Totally chakde fatte kamm. Honestly car now has alot meaner and killer looks. I assume you got this job done at Pwg?? Happy cruising....

Sorry to inject a contrary view. With the Cat gone, as anyone bothered to check the emission figures?
