Mercedes SLK 350 modifications

Hi Guys,

Have planned and am in the process of ordering parts for my SLK 350. Will be adding a new piecha design quad exhaust, a piecha RS rear diffuser and hood fins to start with. wanted to know what colour i should go with on the hood fins. i have a black SLK. Do i have put up the pics or can i add links?

i personally think you should go for black fins.an other option could be a dark grey.

Rear diffuser and quad pipes look sweet.

However, i'm not a fan of the hood fins. They might be okay in black (or satin??), but i'd avoid getting the chrome ones!

Why do you need a sturt brace? Is the SLK prone to noticeable scuttle shake? Installing an after-market sturt brace will be tricky on the 350,because the big V6 will get in the way of the towers.But it can be fabricated,I guess.

Moreover the SLK comes with a double-wishbone front suspension setup,so the sturt brace won't make much of a difference,as its preferably used in conjunction with a MacPherson front setup!

The guy that is installing the parts for me suggested it. He is currently doing some serious modding on a early 2000 BMW M5 . The UK tuners who are helping him say the strut brace will help improve cornering and reduce skidding when you put your foot down.
Thanks for the info though, i will let him know.

parts ordered! arriving next week! will update on progress and post WIP pics if i can

@Zenzi: Nice car.
As for the options for the fin color. Black would be the best option.

Also are you anyway associated with Zenzi (Lounge at Bandra)?

@zenzi - You can also try ASMA DESIGNS. They have got some real nice designs for an Merc SL 350 and the quality of there products is also very good. However they are prety expensive.

thanks man! well i got both of them. dealer was giving me one set free as a token of thanks for buying all the above from him (nice way to sweeten the deal!). Dad prefers satin so we are going to try both and go with the better, i'm rooting for black!

sorry man no association with zenzi apart from liking the place.
