Automatic Tramsmission Gear Shift Knob Change Possible?

I want to change the gear shift knob of my Honda City AT with one which has a locking mechanism built into the knob itself.
The query is whether a knob having the shift lock on the side can be changed to a knob having the shift lock in front; also the knobs are for different Honda Models.
I am attaching the pictures for a better understanding.
Picture 1: Present Gear Shift Knob with shift lock button facing right.
Picture 2: Jazz/Fit Shift Knob with shift lock button facing front.
Picture3: The actual knob that I wish to install.
Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Though I haven't tried anything, what I feel is it should be possible, ofcourse with some Indian juggad. But my basic question to you will be - Why? Is it for a simple convenience? Also it may not be possible to simply plug & play I guess.
