Minor mods on Merc C Class

I have owned my Tenorite Grey W204 C200 Kompressor for the passed one year. Since I was underage I wasn't allowed to drive any car and was chauffeured in my Black Skoda Superb 2.5 V6.

And now the family has decided to give me the C class in another 3 months that is november and my 18th birthday.

Since I had a choice choosing between the 320d or C200 K. C was the one for me. Now I have decided to remap the car (Kiirus remap) Which will take it to 205bhp and change rims to 18 or 19"s.

I need help in choosing rims and tires. Want all you guys to give serious opinions on what to choose. Dont mind importing the rims.
Strictly no Lensos/Plati/HR-S/Neo etc.

Probably not what you want to hear but the 320d would probably still smoke the c200 even after you remap the merc. I suggest you take the 320d and get it tuned to 205bhp and around 415nm of torque. Will eat up the c200k. Not to mention its more fun to drive since its a BMW.

OK now if you do want to keep the c200k. I think for rims you should get AMG, Brabus or lorinser. You can get bodykits from them too.

A fellow member had successfully ordered rims and tires from Mercedes alloys | Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd for his SL500. I would stick to 17", 18" if you can manage with it, but forget 19" it will ruin the ride.

AMG alloy wheels | Genuine new 18" AMG VI | fits Mercedes C Class Saloon W204 | Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd Ive seen a c class with these rims (normal c class) and it looks very, very HOT.

Also you might want to look at a SprintBooster since the throttle lag in the c200k is quite a bit.

Akshay the C200 K is a little more faster than the 320d. Specs confirm. 320d 0-100 8.0 top speed 230 C200K- 8.4 top speed 235. And I have confirmed that with a drag. till 100 the 3 is a little faster but after that the C eats it. I too thought this was impossible but after that day i changed my mind.

I spoke to the person who re-maps he said the c would win over the 3.

Now will i get the above mentioned rims in India? I will be glad if anyone could give me some info if someone imports them in india. Also I have decided to go for the P Zeros.

Are sprintboosters available in India? I need one asap.

Well IMO in India 0-100 is what matters most. You will rarely be able to go all out over 100 or 120kmph. Just my opinion. A remapped C200k might beat a stock 320d but definitely not a remapped 320d.

Also there is NO way the stock c200k does 0-100 in 8.4 on normal fuel. Ive done some runs against a friends car and my Accord beat (is an understatement) it in every way besides handling and braking.

In the end its up to you.

I think if you order them online you will get them delivered to your doorstep, but you will have to pay some customs duty.

Sprintbooster again will have to be ordered online.

hi
according to my freinds in europe a C200 Kompressor remap for a petrol car is not ok unlike diesal car if this car have newest siemens ecu then no solution for remap exit until today
also they told is a kompressor car is better to change the pulley to a smaller one so it will make kompressor more faster
but remap on a petrol not adviceable
regards

Absolutly right. The 320d will leave the C200K for dust.

8.4 will be possible by a professional driver on a day with optimal conditions all way round with internals in optimal condition at a time where the car is fully run in but not on the other side of the wear point. And this only with premium grade fuel.

Similar car was sold as 230K in the US. Same 1.8 liter engine.

Check what needs to be changed for the conversion. Probably pulley, mapping etc.

PS: dont get worked up over 0.5 second. Means nothing in real life.

Anyways I have done a drag on a open highway and confirmed. By what I"ve seen the C200 K was a clear winner. And this was even after switching drivers.

Now getting back to Rims. I was contacted by Automania about the Wald rims I enquired which are coming to 55k a rim. Wasn't too keen since they were 19"s.

I want something like the picture (Wald 21"s)

Hmm I cant understand how the C200k would beat the 320d. LOL anyway the C200k does become much more fun to drive in tiptronic mode but stillllllll.

Buddy 55k a rim is a ripoff, plus with 19s your tire profile will go so low that everytime you go into a pothole your tire will develop a bubble and will have to be replaced. 19" tires arent cheap.

http://www.mbworld.org/forums/member...force-base.jpg Why not contact PJspeed Shop and check for bbs wheels. Im sure you can get a set in price of 2 of these Wald rims.

BTW automania are the dealers for lorinser.

Flying to bombay tomorrow to find my rims and tires. (also a gypys power steering). So will be going to many shops. Automania also a dealer for Wald.

Tyre gurus please recommend a suitable tyre for 18"s. Has to be a sporty tyre.
