I beg to contradict.I am using Philips Rally 130/100W for more than 2+ years. The high beams are absolutely white and even low beams arent yellow.
They are more than good enough for rains too.

relative to Narva, which i saw in my friends car, philips rally is yellowish,

any after effects on reflector after using 130/100W, now i am greedy since relay & wiring are in place & can take higher values i want to use 130W for high beam... does it build up too much heat ?

The compact Bosch Relay
Bosch - Relays

Installed 80/100 for my palio at Green tracks. Costed 1300 + installation 280.

Narva bulbs and wiring kit from some coimbatore company.

Spread looks good need to test it on highway though.

Hi GUys, A friend wants to pick up HIDs from US for his Safari 2.2 DICOR, he was asking me the specs for headlight & fog lamps.

IIRC the headlight is H4, not sure if the fogs are H7 or something else.

Could some one confirm the specs for both the bulbs

Thanks

Can anbody tell me where can i get bosch relay in bangalore

Any suggestions for a CR-V ?? Dont want to go for HID's since i ll have to get 3 sets.

2 pairs in Headlights + Fogs

Has anyone checked out LightWerkz? They have a section at High-Intensity, the supposed mecca of HID lighting. I've seen some of their jobs from links and their own website.

How feasible is it to send one's OEM headlights out to him for fixing a custom HID kit? I have never shipped anything overseas, so if anyone who has experience in importing/exporting parts can chime in, I'd be grateful.

If you spend some time with this thread, you should get some guidance.

Before I had put this set up in my earlier car,I had it changed number of times to (in that order)->Philips 100/90W Rally-->Narva 100/90W-->lastly the Philips Rally 130/100W.Was happy with the last one.

Hope this helps all, thanks in advance.

It does, but till date touch wood no problems.Allegedly,it makes 200 degree centigrade! But no problems in rain water.A nice relay with minimum 30 amp wiring is a must though.

3 sets arent necessary.

Get an H1 HID kit for the LOW beam.

Get a reputed H1 Halogen with same colour temp as the HID for your HIGH beam (either 85 or 90 or 100watt).

Halogen in the high beam is useful for flashing or 'dipping' one's headlights unlike a xenon bulb which will take a few seconds to heat up.

Fogs, its better to stick to 3000k or 4300k Halogens or HID. Not sure if the fog assembly can handle a 100watt halogen though...it might haze in time.

Is there any bulb with Dark blue/violent tint with 100/90 similar to Philips diamond vision ?

Guys, I finally upgraded. Report here. Thanks a lot.

I was not getting good vision with my normal halogen 55/60w bulb, specially not able to see what is happening in the sides of the roads. Now the vision is improved a lot with this upgrade. Going for a full night drive this Saturday and will update the result.

For the 55/60w nightbreaker bulbs u don't requires to do any wiring modifications to the stock one. But I have done additional wiring for this installation as my stock setup is pretty old now. Don't want to take risks in the mid nights.

Here are the parts and specification used for this

Osram night breaker bulb : 64183 NBR, P43t H4 Halogen 12V 55/60w - Rs.1223/. + 12.5% tax
Roots Dual Headlamp relay : Product code : 953947. Rs.148/. + 12.5% tax
Roots Headlamp Wiring Harness : Product code: 953982 (130/90W). Rs.406/. + 12.5% tax

Shop detail : Car Automobiles Pvt. Ltd, JC Road, bangalore (this is actually in the back side lane of JC road, opp to corp parking bldg). Contact Person : Shyby, ph: 080 26706487 / 26702124.

The listed Osram dealer's quote was Rs.1563/. for a pair of nightbreaker bulb which I defered after got this deal.
