Performance Exhaust & some other mods for the Honda CR-V 2.4 AT

Bought a brand new Honda CR-V 2.4 AT 2 months back. As of today its driven 6000kms and I have ordered a Automech exhaust for it which is coming tomorrow. Tried searching for other international brands but none of them made exhaust for the 2.4 iVtec. Will post tomorrow with a video of the sound.

Mugen makes a complete kit for this version of the CR-V. I believe there is one with the kit in South Bombay

:
If we may know - What made you choose the CR-V at the current price point. Didnt Outlander or the X1 make more sense.

I used to drive my 3 series on a daily basis and realized it was too bumpy for everyday(college, tuition, parties etc) I wanted a comfortable SUV for 5 but one which wouldn't make a shame of itself infront of my BMW in comparison of handling and power. The CR-V is a daily driver and used very roughly. Check out my signature the X1 just wouldnt fit cause its too small.

Find out from Linkway Honda in Mumbai if they can get Mugen Parts for you.
Or shoot off an email to sales@online.mugen-power.com

Here are the parts available
http://www.mugen-power.com/automobile/products/CR-V/
But these look better

Probably with the second mugen kit Akshay mentioned? Should look good IMO. And what's happening with the exhaust?

Edit - I just realised the link doesn't take you to the alloy i wanted to show. It's the PD2 on the list below.

PD2 is my favorite from them! I had planned PD2s for my car but unfortunately, I can't push the govt. to make my local roads better.

On a CR-V, PD5 and PD7 will look great too IMHO.

Just got a reply from Mugen and this is what they have to say

Dear Mr. Costa,

Thank you for your inquiry about MUGEN products.
We have a sports silencer for Honda CR-V 2.4 AT (FF).
But we are not sure if the sports silencer can be fitted to your CR-V or
not. Our products are developed, designed and manufactured for Japanese
spec. We do not confirm the installation for other countries' spec.

Isn't CR-V in Japan is of the same spec as ours?

BTW, I used google translate to read the webpage and it says...

"Sports silencer achieves both exhaust efficiency and high performance muffler. The finisher φ100.

10 ° Surantokatto adopted. Stainless steel. Pre-Approved Certification regulation or inspection of the replacement muffler."

Google Translate

Fellow BHP-ian Pranav from Delhi is selling those rims. They do look great IMO and are really VFM at the price they are being sold (save for a few minor scratches). He spent a fortune on them while buying. I would have bought them for my car without a second thought if the roads in my local area were worthy! Check it out how did they look on his black Civic (pic from Manan's thread)

Im reasonably sure the Silencer will fit since the CRV is an import from Japan. Also check out the exhaust for the previous CRV on the Mugen site. It looks awesome with 2 pipes coming out of the centre.

Personally I think those rims wont suit the CRV and they will look small since they have a lip.
