by just grooving the head you would loose some CR. this is because grooving the head would increase the vol in the combustion chamber that somender offsets by a min. head shave. the intake ports are also not given a mirror finish as his tech aims to create more turbulence at intake for swirl/turbulence before ignition.

Just read up about Somender Singh, man its a must read for all of us!
@ 1self: how did you find out about him and hows the difference in performance and finally how much did it cost?

And yes GREAT GOING!! Cheers!!

Thats a super cool mod job there. As someone said earlier, this is the most beautiful Sonata (4th Gen) I have ever seen. Would you mind posting some better full-angle snaps of the car? Please don't make us wait for too long, your Sonata is too hot to handle, even in pics.

Some more pics as promised!:)

Normally intake ports IMO are not given a mirror finish. The exhaust does have it though!

Great thread - would love to see the final outcome :thumbs up

I have seen for the First Time that a Official Workshop is taking a Modified Car.

btw the Old Grille used to look cool.

Did you change the Gear Ratios on the Manual Transmission ?

I wanted to know if the Voltage Stabilizer makes a difference and how much. I would also like to know if it made such a Big Difference then why the Bigger Cars do not come pre-fit with such mods ?

The Original Sonata used to produce 166 BHP. How much does it produce now ? 200 ?

:thumbs up Oh well, to be brutally frank, I love everything about your Sonata except the grille. IMO, the stock grille with the three horizontal slats would look stunning. But, hats off for the way you have tuned and modded your car. I know I am going a bit overboard here, but I loved this Sonata V6 so much and to see one like this is turning me emotional.

^^^ Besides the look, this grill also serves the function of getting more cooling air directly the the radiator!:D With the shorter gearing of the car & a heavy foot, the V6 has to work a lot harder now!:p

That is because these guys are personal friends.

No changes made. A shorter gear ratio really makes this car fly! I would like to change the 5th gear ratio though.

The voltage stabilizer is basically for cars with relatively poor earthing connection. The original Sonata earthing was pretty bad. Now it has outlived it's usefullness, as i have a large number of earth wires all over the place!

About that much, will be doing a dyno after some more mods.

eh, are there any RTO hassles involved?
re-homologi-fy etc etc??

Did you repaint the rims again,in the previous pics they looked darker.
and you can do without those chrome strips all round, thats just my opinion.
How about painting the Rims black, with a red lip,and dark tints all round, and you will have a looker.

None whatsoever...they also changed the colour to red in the registry.

I removed the paint!

Those are not chrome strips, they are retro-reflective tape!

I wanted to car to look elegant...any more black will spoil the looks IMO.

wow man, car looks super hot. The exhaust looks awesome.

@ 1self: Please consider these paintjob mods to make your bullet look meaner.

Nice to see this thread Vivek, would be keeping an eye on it :)

Awesome! The car looks hot ( would love the 'hear' something too :) ) .

Kudos to your idea/efforts etc! Even if I was to do something like this, I would have never planned the auto to manual conversion even in my dreams.

Donno of this can be done; wont the exhausts on either side look wow?
