This is a very bold prediction but i dont thonk Alpine will be fighting anywhere in the front this year mainly because they have decided to sacrifice reliability for performance and in not certain where it will lead them. We can also expect Alonso to loose his temper if this happens as he will get flashbacks from the McLaren Honda days. As for the other 4 teams i tend to agree with you and would love to see Aston Martin finish P4 in the constructors and Vettel getting a win, that would be the icing on the cake. But it is still to early to draw any conclusions its still very early on the testing and only time will tell.

Ferrari has the most radical design after they stopped development on the 2021 car early last year to focus on this year. Looks like they have been bold with their design choices with the sidepods especially.

Also hoping that Haas gets some benefit from the coalition with Ferrari and are at least competitive.

That would be my biggest wish - all teams have the pace to finish in the top 10. Don't want to see one 2 teams pulling out at the top and 1 team languishing at the bottom.

My bold prediction would be that Ferrari would be the dominant force in this year's championship and the title would be between Sainz and LeClerc. And they would be so strong that they would be running this year's car in the initial races of the 2023 season just like they used to in the Schumi days

1. My bold prediction would be that Pierre Gasly and Yuki together put Alpha Tauri in best of the rest position.
2. Ferrari to take constructors and Sainz as the champion.
3. Both the brits have a major rivalry throughout the season. I hope Merc doesnt bring in team orders.

This year: Ferrari will upset RedBull and Merc. They have the advantage of more wind tunnel time over other teams, since they finished 6th in 2020.
Mercedes may be sandbagging or running more fuel load.

Alpine are at a big disadvantage as they are the only team running their engine and Aero packages don't seem overwhelming compared to McLaren as well. So less hopes from them. This makes me sad as i want Alonso to be back on podium.

Bold Predictions -

1. Russell out qualifies Hamilton in the first few tracks and even might go no to beat him in the races itself. (Hope there are no team orders and the fight is fair)
2. Leclerc taking a few poles this season with Ferrari having regular podium finishes. Initial form allows them to fight for both the championships.
3. Verstappen falters in the 1st half of the season and starts recovering post summer break to fight for the title.
4. Alpha Tauri and Mclaren will be in the fight for the best of rest. Alpha Tauri have Gasly and Tsunoda in a decent car whereas Mclaren have 2 rockstars () who have shown what they can do given half a decent car (Hello Monza 2021)
5. Williams get a surprise podium with Albon

The boldest prediction from my side would be Perez goes to win WDC as it’s his last chance to win with a big team.

The other wild prediction will be Alpha Tauri coming in top 3 in constructors

Ferrari indeed looks poised to shake things up; looking for them to put up a consistent fight for the podium. That said, hope Ferrari manages the drivers better since both are fairly close: no point self-destructing trying to one-up each other.

Not a lot of talk about Max and Hamilton yet: lull before the storm? We can't be sure Hamilton retires at the end of this year but he sure would want no. 8 in the bag as quickly as possible desperately.

Nice Thread Idea! Below are few predictions from me.

1. Hamilton and Verstappen don’t collide even once in the entire season.
2. George Russel overshadows his more experienced teammate.
3. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc fight for the Top honors at Ferrari and give a tough fight to Mercedes and Red bull.
4. No Safety cars in any of the races. We had safety car in most of the races in 2021 championship, it also helped in the final lap controversy at Abu Dhabi.
5. Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel win at least one race this year.
6. No race cancellations due to Covid wreaking havoc again.
7. Toto wolf and Christian Horner don’t swear at each other even once, and don’t go knocking on the FIA and race stewards doors at every alternate race.
8. 2022 Season being more unpredictable than the 2021 season, which will help in generating more fan following and excitement.
