Re: Honda Motorcycles @ Auto Expo 2012

So Honda has finally understood the necessity to introduce a Splendor competitor. They could have thought of something better than Dream Yuga!

Nothing for the CB Unicorn in 2012 either, they will continue to churn the current outdated model. Shine gets new sticker graphics, no technical updates.

I like the combi-brake technology and the matte-gray on the Dio is nice! Given that a significant population of drivers only apply the rear brake, the combi brake should be helpful in retaining control of the vehicle. It would have been nice to see a digital console on the Dio to keep in sync with the new look, however they remain analogue and boring.

Exactly my point. They should have come up with a name that is something better than Dream Yuga.
What would you say? I have bought a dream Yuma.

OT Question: The Honda's Moto GP bike does not have any thread on the tyre rubber. Could any one explain me the reason for not having any thread on such a vehicle? Is it just for more contact with road surface so as to extract more grip?

It would be interesting how Honda prices the 150 CBR, as there isnt anything less than 250 one, apart from the engine capacity. If they price it too close to 250, it wont sell. If its much lower then god save R15

OT: Slick tyre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They are competing with HERO in giving the weirdest names.
HMSI did not have any weirdly named product yet.

Re: Honda Motorcycles @ Auto Expo 2012

Thats an impressive line up of the models to be launched by Honda. Good to know that they are now entering the 100 cc market which uptil now was the Hero Moto domain.

The black Dio looks a typical gangsta (junior) bike. Pity that Honda still want to stick to the analog meter instead of digital console. I think the Dio will appeal to the college goers.
