Re: Suzuki 2-Wheelers @ Auto Expo 2012

We as genuine buyers, should have a segment for touring with 600 to 800CC segments.

Since the segment buyers are conscious buyers and they treat it as a long term investment and are mature riders (my opinion), we demand yamaha, honda, suzuki and may be BMW (kawasaki is here) to get their thing in this segment and provide us options to buy, like the current crossover SUV segment.

I see teams forming in future and every location of our country will have the tire prints of tourers and respect.

@parrys

Thanks for those wonderful pics (as usual). I guess you have pretty much covered the 2 wheeler stalls at the Expo.

Whats was new about Swish? Looks a rehashed Access. I sincerely hope they improve their dealership and workshop network and reduce the spares price if they intend to launch more scooters.

Hayabusa - drool worthy. Wonder if John Abhraham was around checking it out.

V Storm - gorgeous looks, is it planned for Indian entry?

@ Parrys,
Did Suzuki announce any dates for the launch of VStorm & GSR750? They are quite tempting though.

I can see that styling is less dowdy and li'l more sporty like a Honda! My point is...why not put the Access to rest!

Access

Displacement 124 cm3
Max. Power 6.4 Kw@7000rpm (8.58hp@7,000rpm)
Max. Torque 9.8Nm@5000rpm (1.0kg-m@5,500rpm)

Swish

9.11 BHP of power
9.8 Nm of torque.

Honda as Aviator, Dio and Activa and Hero has Pleasure and Maestro; guess competition made them to launch another version.

No launch details announced or spoked about for both of them.
They were placed just to get some attention and showcase the Brand.

Re: Suzuki 2-Wheelers @ Auto Expo 2012

spoke to my local stealership today for the red hayabusa, they say this color was only for display & not for sale, this color is not going to be available in India,
pay 2 times the price & dont get the color of your option.
i dont understand what the japs think about the competetion.brits & the americans have a loads to offer

am startled why would they bother to get a 750 cc middle weight, which is not even a thoroughbred sportsbike, to showcase the brands heritage? any inside note if they have got any plans to launch it some time later (especially now with sub-800 segment on fire?)

Thanks JK! With Honda, I think the differences are little more clear cut.
Activa for the family man. Dio for youngster on a budget. Aviator premium scooter with big wheels, telescopic and F.disk.

I feel the Swish at least should offer a F.disk to differentiate it better, but lets see how they price it.
