It can be multiple reasons. Difficult to pin point. But since this issue only started after the service, you can take it back to them and get it checked.

Few simple things you can check yourself -
Front brake fluid level sufficient ?
Any grease on the front disc ?
Brake pads worn out ?

As the issue wasn't there at all before the service and only started after you got it back from service, any fix ideally should be done for free.

Thanks Ratan, will check out the following. The concern I had regarding taking it back was that it is a drive of 25 ish kms to the service center. Will it cause any major damage is the thought I was getting.

Tomorrow is Sunday. So go in the morning so that it can be fixed and returned in one quick visit plus you won't have traffic.
If it's air in brake line issue or even little less brake fluid, it won't cause any damage. If it is worn brake pad and you still apply the brakes, it will give scratches to the disc.

Just ride slower than usual and use rear brake more than usual if it gives you better peace of mind.

Do let us know what the issue and outcome was.

Dear fellow members, I own a CBR 250r std-non abs(2018), after the periodic service it had developed a brake issue. After picking the bike up from service and commuting through traffic for 30 mins or so(8-10kms), when I pulled in the front brake it went almost all the way in and at the almost end brake was getting applied, also noticed the front brakes were jammed a little as the bike refused to pull forward at some forty to fifty speed, also noticed the disc was very hot. Parked it to the side of the service road, for 20 mins or so. After this the brake feel came back and started riding. But the issue came back soon after some time. Could you please give some insight, improper bleeding of brakes maybe?

Hey guys,Issue is resolved. The front caliper O-rings had worn out and hence was replaced according to Highlander.Flushed the whole brake fluid and filled fresh too.The problem was resolved, brake works perfectly now.Costed around 500 with labour:)

I am taking it to EVM Honda Vyttilla Kochi tomorrow to fix a couple other long pending items.
1) Front fork oil leak - need to get oil & seal changed for both fork legs
2) after a minor fall few months ago (my 1st & only one since buying the bike 11 years ago), the handle is slightly bent (skewed to the right - I fell to the right).

Got the bike back after changing the front fork oil & seal.
Regarding the handle, they said they see no issue - and when I rode it, I don't see the issue anymore.
They had changed the cone-set (was stuck they said) and the issue possibly got fixed after this was changed.

If everything is working fine again, don't attempt to get the Magneto checked unless they have the Magneto side crankcase cover gasket in stock. Because re-using such an old gasket after removing the cover will definitely lead to oil leakage from that side.

Did not mention about the magneto to them and they also didn't say anything about it. Hopefully it was a battery discharged due to non-usage thing.

Next on the list is to change the tyres. What are the brand recommendation, folks ?

TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme (140/70 and 110/70)
Michelin Pilot Street Radial (140/70 and 110/70)
Apollo Alpha H1 (150/60 and 110/70)

Not sure of the prices but all should cost between 10k and 13k.

The TVS and Apollo tyres above are the soft compound and grippy but would last only around 12k to 15k KMs.

Michelin is medium compound but would last up to 25k KMs (I am using it since 17k KMs, good value for money for me as I don't do cornering or ride fast during rains)

I am using Michelin Pilot Street Radial (140/70) at the back and Apollo Alpha H1 (110/70) at the front. Both are great tyres.

Hey guys,
I have a CBR 250R, recently acquired and the bottom touches on tall speed breakers with a pillion,I think just under the rear suspension. Also felt the ride is a little bumpy when I am riding solo , how to adjust the rear proline suspension according to my weight.I weigh around 76 kgs.

I got my hands on Apollo TRAMPLR ST on rear. Got them in stock size. They have worked wonders for me through the city and highway runs. Won't add to the vibrations, very stable at highways, and due to the tread pattern, very easy to manage the bike through slush, dirt and gravel. Haven't faced any slip. Took my bike with this tyre to Shangarh (Himachal), and if anyone has been there, it's a task to take the bike all the way up there. Had no troubles at all.
