I know this has to be done, but I just could not find the time to do this.

Anyway, I had got the oil changed just before the storage. Fuel was not drained though.

I was not planning to store it, as you would have guessed by now. But things just conjured up in such a way that it had to go into storage.

Thanks for the advice though. I will definitely keep it in mind and make sure I build this into my next travel plan.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 Twinspark Ownership Report

The TBTS 500 has got some mikles on the clock over the last few weeks. I have joined a RE Club " Royal Mavericks" and went for a couple of rides with them. The first one was in July when we rode from The Indraprastha Millenium park till Murthal to see off a group of riders who were leaving for a trip to Spiti.Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 Twinspark Ownership Report-img_20150725_083732.jpg

This was followed by a National Salute Ride on August 15, when 300 + riders on 270 + Bikes rode from The Indraprastha Millenium Park to Murthal again. Due to the longer route taken ( due tosecurity restrictions) this ride was much longer. We had breakfast at Mannt Haveli. Brekfast was followed by Flag Hoisting and the national anthem. We dispersed at around 11:15 and rode bak to Delhi. On the way back I got throughly drenched in a thunderstorm.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 Twinspark Ownership Report

Got the TBTS 500 serviced yesterday at Shri Mahadev Motors, Noida. The total Kms clocked to date are 11,200. The service included oil change and chain lubication and came to Rs 1674/-.

Last Sunday I had taken her for the Distinguished Gntleman's Ride which is in support of Prostate Cancer. The event saw participation of 312 bikes and 360 impeccably dressed riders.

The bike is doing well and will turn 3 years old next month.

Really liked the saddle bag, from where did you get it & is it still available ? Costs 2k I read in the thread. Is it for the Thunderbird only or will it fit the Classic also ?
