Bullet 700CC Twin

Royal enfield was selling a 700 CC twin in 1960s..

Am looking for information / photos on that.

Appreciate if any members can guide me to that. Also want to buy one if some one is willing to sell.

Thx . in advance.

I owned one in Bangalore for sometime. Bought it from Gujarat ( GJX registration) owned it for 2 yrs. Bike was sold to Hyderabad and at present it is in Bangalore with a KArnataka registration.

The second bike was originally from Coimbatore, sold in Hyderabad and is back in Bangalore now.

The third bike is still in Hyderabad. This bike could probably be for sale, but the owner will quote absurd prices. Bike needs extensive work.

The Gujarat bike is the best of the lot, with twin Amal's & the rev counter.

There was also a 700cc twin called the meteor and the constellation, right? There was a mint black one that I used to see on and off. She had an old Bombay regn I think. Havent seen it in awhile.

Heres one that I spotted at a rally last year. The registration dates to the late 50s.

^^ I wish Enfield India broke their promise to not produce anything other than the 350 & 499...and came up with a 750cc parallel twin or maybe a liquid cooled 900cc parallel twin...

my pleasure...I think Enfield India needs to consider building a new line of work horses along side the existing line up...something like the new Triumph Bonnie...

Drool.....

Had a Mexican wave or two of goosebumps going through my body.

Man this thing is a monster.

Hey Mr. Lal wake up and do something. We all need this thing. Hopefully they must still be having the dyes for this.

Well we can only wish that it's now high time that Enfield woke up from it's half century long slumber and really delievered something to their huge long list of fan following...well something British like cafe racers or something we may relate with an Enfield and nothing like a cheap imitation of American styling eg. Lightning or Thunderbird, with their puny little wheelbase.
