My purpose is exactly what you've stated, listening to Music while riding, picking up calls and navigation commands.

Hello Dtovio,
If you want to pick up calls also, you can try the Midland series BT headset. Should cost about 7 to 7.5K or a Parani.
If it was up to me, I would save up some more and get the Cardo Freecom/Spirit. I have been using one for the last 7 years.

I'll be listening to songs majorly. Would it really be worth the investment even when I cannot get that audio experience.
Cardo Freecom/Spirit seems expensive at 10K.
Is the Midland/Parani audio quality that good as their value?

+1 for the Cardo Spirit. While it can be considered priced on the higher side for what it offers, the construction and the availability of spares makes it worth it in my opinion. For someone looking for a no-nonsense, no-frills headset, it's hard to beat the Spirit/Spirit HD, even after all these years.

I have not used a Midland / Parani yet. My neighbor is using the Parani and he is happy. I have not ridden with him yet.
I've been using the Sena 5S, purchased for 12k,for about 4 years now and the only complaint I have is that the wires have gotten stripped in places from normal wear and tear (removal of inner liner for cleaning and migration of headset as helmets get changed). I believe Sena has introduced a Bharat specific headset called the BH10 for about 10k.

Thanks! I got myself a brand new one from the recent offer on Amazon for 9K. The difference is remarkable. There is some quality issue at high volume for music, but then I don't listen to music when I ride. I mostly use it for navigation and occasional calls. The max volume is quite high making it much better (comparing with the generic one I had before) for riding on highways with wind around.
Just bought myself a Royal Enfield Motowave X1 intercom, it's a rebadged C30 with few additional features, including Harman Kardon speakers.
The worst part is that the RE app is not working and no owner's manual is available for this intercom (not even a digital copy). However, bluetooth connection with phone and intercom (1+1 rider) worked fine.
Hoping that RE intercom app will be available shortly to experience all features of the intercom.
I recently purchased the Royal Enfield Motowave X1 and subsequently discovered that the application does not support MESH connectivity for the device. This is highly unsatisfactory, particularly given the premium price point of the Motowave X1 compared to the standard Bluearmour C30 unit.
However, I have been able to use the device with standard Bluetooth 1:1 pairing, which is functioning as expected.
Royal Enfield has indicated within their app that they are in the process of transitioning the intercom feature to a separate, dedicated mobile application. While this development is promising, it would be helpful to have further clarity regarding the timeline for this update.

You should be able to pair it with the bluarmor app in the interim. Do try that

I have been asked by the shop owners & even the RE officials not to connect this device to Bluarmour mobile app as that would lead to battery drain happening on the device.
I'm using a Bluarmour C30 since September 2023. By March 2024 the buttons lost their tactile function. Thought it's normal wear and tear. By July 2024 it became too hard to turn on&off the device. On a traffic signal met a fellow biker with Bluarmour, both stopped after a distance and discussed the device experience and he too mentioned he had a similar button issue which was rectified by Bluarmour support team. Hence contacted Customer support, and tried for a replacement initially as the device was still under warranty.
They denied replacement and told me l'll fix the buttons for free. Shipped the device to Aptener Mechatronics, Bangalore on 6th August 2024 & received back with new buttons on 22 August 2024. Today(31st December 2024) while I was pairing it to a new mobile phone I found the up button has become hard, almost no tactile while pressing. As it plays a function key for the intercom purposes I couldn't figure out if it's working at least. Planning the contact customer service again. Does anyone face a similar Issue? Just wanted to know if there is a permanent fix or how to prevent it further?
Having read all reviews, looks like the Bluarmor C30 is the best helmet intercom in the budget range or C25PRO in the budget to premium.
Is my assumption correct?

C30 is good. It went thru a tumultuous phase when they pushed an update last year which broke the system but now they have sorted that out. Buttons are still a hit or a miss as they are tiny (This being the reason i went with the TVS S20X, a C30 in TVS clothing). Has anyone ordered the C50 yet ? is it worth the now reduced price of 18k that is being asked for it ?

Thank you for detailing out the purchase, purchase rationale as well as the installation in such detail. I'm posting the reply here on this Comms thread so your useful post doesn't get missed even for folks browsing on comm units on this thread.
The Cardo Packtalk Edge is indeed a great device and having used Sena 50S in the past, my primary motivation to switch to Cardo was its bullet proof waterproof nature, an area where previous SENAs have been a mixed bag experience. I am told that the latest flagship SENA (60S) is supposed to be more robust on the waterproof factor but time will tell that I guess.
For now, I do believe this is one of the best flagship comm devices out there and congratulations on an excellent purchase.
