Yes the price has been revised for the normal vespa. The Vespa website has been updated and the Ex-showroom price is Rs.68,550. I think earlier it was around 62K.

Thats true. You are lucky. I have booked a VX for my dad. The perimeter grill was out of stock. They assured me i will be getting it within 10 days. The optional beige seat cover was not that attractive.

I feel this scooter will look even more beautiful with wire wheels and white wall tyres.

Have there ever been any scooters with wire wheels before?

3. New rear grab rail design.
4. VX Monogram on the left side
5. Tubeless Tyres

Two new colours added..one horrible pink and a formidable fern green.
Pics below.

For all of LX owners, a disc brake upgrade is possible at 10k fixed price. Vespa India does it now. Im planning to get it done during next servicing.
The braking of LX is really bad. Pathetic actually!

Thinking of getting the VX IF the brakes are better. Or it will be another Honda or Yamaha.

They shouldnt have stopped the black one; it turns head.

Agreed, the braking on the LX variant is catastrophic.

2013 Vespa VX125

Got mine two weeks back. Costed 82 or so OTR.

Why I got one? Ease of use and of course the looks.

Did 550kms till date. Some observartions

+ Smooth engine
+ Looks
+ Fit and finish
+ ride quality
+ brakes
+ Looks

- No engine kill switch
- No low fuel indicator light
- Height ( this can be an issue with shorter people)

I think apart from disc brakes, the tubeless tyres are one good reason that the VX brakes so well. I have no idea about mileage. Will try to find it some day.

Quite a beauty, love the color. I am planning to buy the Vespa S when it comes in a few weeks.

Missed those points!

Color:
The color with the beige seat cover combination is new for VX and comes only for this and red. Red was awesome but too much for me.

Boot:
Like I said, easiness to ride within city and ability to carry stuff was another factor why I wanted a automatic scooter. The 'boot' dont take a full face helmet but almost fits one. You can also take it out and wash etc.

Headlight:
Its good and powerful but I wish it was tad more narrower.
Also, if they could have added LED's for brake light.

Power:
And another part is the power; 10+ bhp helps and I wanted a bit more power than the rest since I might ride with pillion within city.

Ever read a owner's manual which states that you can do till 80% of peak speed during run in? Max speed as per manual is 90 and hence till 1000kms, I can take it to 72kmph. I havent done that still but have done 60's few times.

Another observation: I would have used the choke on my RTR 180 2-3 times during the 12000kms, 2 year period for starting it. For Vespa, its a must use for cold starts.

Another pix to show the seat color.

Re: 2013 Vespa VX125: What's New?

I bought an LML Vespa 25 yrs back & sold it after 15 yrs, the Matt Black Vespa S really looks like the perfect replacement. Will check it out this weekend & book one. I liked the Vespa VX too, but was waiting for this instead.

Sad part is that the "vespa" helmets are not just pricy @ around 3300 INR, but they are also in short supply. The situation is like, I will get the scooter in 2 days and the "vespa" helmet after another 10 days

Hi! Well done buddy!

I got my yellow vx from them too. They're pretty good, the manager Harender's a gem. Have my first major (3rd) service soon. Will update about the quality of work they do. The service and workmanship quality seems ok so far. The vespa helmet business is not for me. I think the scooter's stylish enough on its own! Ciao.
