The weight premium on this bike is way too much compared to the 200NS.
A 1 bhp and 0.3NM increase in torque might not be able to offset the 20 kg weight penalty that it has over the 200 NS.

Kerb weight
200NS: 145 Kg
200RS: 165 Kg !

But the specs and equipment look good.

What is wrong with Bajaj? Why this weird tagline?

So, they want blokes to race on streets & die?

P.S - Learn to design a rear-mudguard first. Why add that silly hugger?

Too much happening design wise for my liking.
Good numbers, fully faired, fully faired, projectors so should sell like hot cake !

Another value for money proposition from Bajaj.

The design isn't that ugly (to me atleast), looks fab and mostly this was accepted and assumed that something of this sort would come. To be honest I was always of the anti pulsar community but the last few launches from Bajaj has changed the perspective head over heels.

Bajaj though showcased this in the auto expo and made sure people grasp the design and futuristic concept as to what is to be expected, but the delayed launch spoiled the party somewhat.

Nevertheless Bajaj is ticking all the right boxes with the Indian enthusiast, hope to see the bigger brother soon.

+1

Pricing of RS200 seems to be spot on, but did not like the side profile much and tail light is well...too feminine:eek:

Looks like it'll sell pretty damn well amongst most of the populace. Good work Bajaj.

However looks can be subjective and I find the design a bit too different for my taste. As Chida has said the side profile does look a bit weird.

Same goes for the tail-lamp too.

I will some how steal this abs kit and fix on my ns200 ;)

Jokes apart Bajaj has to provide that for ns owners.

1.5 lacs abs bike is a welcome move.

Ugly face! Too busy a design, somehow reminds me of Bumblebee!

It scores over the NS200 with Fuel injection and ABS. The design however is too busy for my liking. Wonder if the NS200 will also get the FI and ABS, maybe not to keep the RS distinct.

Wonder if this is seriously going to eat into the D200/RC200 sales.

Can someone comment how useful a 'front wheel only' ABS is compared to the D390/CBR250 which I assume has ABS on both the front and the back?

I, as a noob thought that its the rear wheel which is usually at a greater risk of slipping out.

I feel this will be as much suited to touring (given the fairing) as racing given the upright riding stance

Styling is overdone and pretentious.

Reminds me of a superbike reskin that Dilip Chabria had done

A single cylinder bike needs to look lean

Well there is no written rule about that..

Lets not forget that Indian customers like "Plastic Muscles and Puffed up Bulk (even if it is artificial)".

Doesn't the "Muscular" and "Single Cylinder" Yamaha FZ with all the artificial bulk and Fat rear tyre and the decoy radiator (like) shroud, just put around a meek 13 horses (the RS at least puts out 24 horses)?

Anything which has demand will be made. The customer is King

First thing that came to my mind! whats wrong with them? Do they mean to say their bikes are not track worthy? or do they tend to mean, not track worthy for those 'amateurs' who race bikes only on a race track! :D

Great launch there. The design doesn't seem ugly to me. This is going to be a good competition for KTM Duke 200 and KTM RC 200, mainly because of the engine specifications and the pricing. Both are from Bajaj so buyers can't go wrong either way. If Yamaha is going to launch the R25 in India, now is a good time, I guess.

Simple. Its cheaper. True that the rear wheel is at risk of skidding more, but a rear wheel skid is savable to a certain degree where the front wheel skid is not. There is a price difference of about 30k between the Standard CBR and ABS version, here the difference is almost half.
