– Priced from €5,898 (INR 4,44,457.65) in Austria.
– New trellis frame that features a bolt-on rear subframe
– Larger fuel tank of 13.4 litres (old had 11 liters)
– Side-mounted exhaust system
– Wheelbase reduced by 10 mm to 1,357 mm
– Ground clearance increased by 15 mm to 185 mm
– Seat height increased by 30 mm to 830 mm
– Dry weight increased by 10 kg to 149 kg
– Power 44 hp (same as before)
– Torque 37 Nm (2 Nm increased)
– Ride-by-wire, LED DRL, LED headlight, LED taillight

Update:

Just called KTM in Delhi, they claim they have not been told when the release date is (for the Duke, the RC is now available for booking). They cannot be any more specific than "maybe this month or next month" (meaning, March).

So... plan accordingly. By which I mean, all we can say for sure is that the new Duke will come out sometime this year... Maybe

Strange, the dealer in Gurgaon had mentioned 26th Feb as the reveal date. Almost all his info has been on the dot, so I am hoping this is true as well.

KTM dealer in bangalore had told me last week of feb as the date as well, when i had called him earlier this month. It's funny how these dealerships themselves are not in sync. That said i guess deliveries will probably start in April this year.

Spied for the first time, all new 2017 KTM Duke 200. Will this beast debut alongside his bigger brother on Feb 23?

Motoroids reader Nikhil Gavit has shared new spy images of a test mule of the 2017 KTM Duke 200. What makes us so sure that it’s the 200cc variant of the Duke family? The black frame with an orange sub-frame, the instrument cluster from the current generation model, latest MRF Revz FC-1 and C-1 tyres, absence of ABS and the handlebar sans the bar-end weights hint that the model seen in these latest spy images is the 2017 200 Duke.

^ It should. Though it kind of seems less VFM now. Considering there's Dominar 400. And it's own bigger brother. The 390 duke. Offering MUCH more at not that huge a price difference.

P. S. Nicely designed Sari gaurd. Owners won't really itch to remove it on the first day itself.

Got a chance to see the 2017 KTM Duke 390 at the MCN London Motorcycle show over the weekend. Quite loved the new color scheme, got a chance to sit on the bike and the new seat does feel pretty well padded.

I am fan of the side slung exhaust, never quite liked the older one.


I am 5'10 and had no trouble planting my feet down comfortably.




The all new LED headlamps, look smashing to me.

The screen seems like a swirl magnet, i guess a scratch cover would be necessary.
I can't wait to test ride one once I get back, I'll paint the rims black the moment I take delivery.

So official now

Rs 225730 - ex showroom Delhi - 390 Duke
Rs 142500 - ex showroom Delhi - 200 Duke
Rs 173000 - ex showroom Delhi - 250 Duke

While 200 remains as it is, rest both get almost all goodies . Very aggressive pricing IMO.

200 and 250 are pretty much in Dominar teritorry, let's see how market will respond.

Prices are on expected lines, ball is in TVS and BMW court now, for the final mid year pricing battle.

PS: Both 200 & 250 miss out on ABS.
