TVS was snoring away to glory all this while. Better late than never, it is finally launched at a pretty decent price. Next would be to wait for the ABS version

And they will name it as "TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi4V ABS" . Could they have not named it better, one that can be easily communicated?
On a different note at 1.07 lacs its a good alternative to NS 200.

So it took them an eternity to launch this finally. Hope it does not have the FI gremlins that the RTR160 Fi had when it was launched earlier. All in all, at the price it is launched it makes a strong case for itself if the riding is mostly city centric with a few highway rides thrown in! Glad it is finally out though.

Please add Pirelli to the variant that comes with Pirelli Tyres. Variant name would read as "TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi4V ABS - Pirelli"

Couldn't agree more with you nkrishnap. In fact when I was hunting for a bike early this year, I was told that the FI version would be out in a month...and that was in February 2017!!

What is even more ridiculous are the numbers viz-a-vis the non-FI RTR 200V:

22 Months wait for 0.5 BHP !!

IMO TVS could have just launched the Akula 300 without bothering to launch this engine. It is just faster than the non-FI RTR 200, and almost all of its segment competition leaves it behind to bite the dust.

My friend, the wait was nothing to do with the Bhp or torque. It wasn't aimed going beyond 21 bhp anyways. So delay not related to that at all. From what I know they were happy to just keep exporting as the market there demands FI.

One thing for sure, just with regular pampering, this bike will run easily for a decade, it can take quite a lot of abuse.

TVS Motor Company took the wraps off its first ever Ethanol run motorcycle, which is the TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 ! The motorcycle has been launched in India at a price of ₹ 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will be initially launched in the states of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka. The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V FI Ethanol was first shown as a concept at the 2018 Auto Expo, held in February 2019 and now, the production version of the motorcycle is finally here. The Ethanol run Apache 200 gets the same design as its petrol-powered sibling apart from the green decals on the fuel tank.
