ya we are talking real bikes now , when 2 plugs are better than one to improve combustion and more even burning . Would like to see the bike in flesh and offcourse pics .
Why dont we have a bike meet in bangalore ? I guess we never had !

Sankar port the manifold too that is the only option you have to get the flow right also you did need higher compression else it is not going to work.

Lolz... Viper and Goddie!!! Actually i logged into orkut and team bhp at the same time so got to see Goddie's scrap and Viper's PM... but Goddie won by a slight margin!!

@Jaggu: Bro you're still here! Nice! Yes it's the manifold dia i was talking about.

@Psycho: A new manifold is the only way as the current one can't be bored out by that much. I'll have to see if i can adapt some other manifolds like the P180's it's a bit bigger i think. I might be able to with some bit of welding. With the stock compression the kicker sometimes locks up and i can stand on it Hehehe.. I'll bump up the compression when i'm gonna put the .60 oversize piston couldn't source it this time.

The timing has to be slightly retarded me thinks with the two plugs.. I'm ready for a meet tomo.. but guys just keep in mind that the bike's in testing phase so it's not yet fully setup. I just put a 180 size jet got to check it tomo morning.

Edit: As JK said it's better if it's before dark.

Shiite, I knew I should have covered the Orkut angle too. Ok, I'll play chase car in a friend's black Dicor.

ok i guess ur already onto it, and on right track also bro, check out some from part shopa or worse case try do a custom job

thinkin out wild here, can rd/rx kinda set up be customised? wider do u want to try varying the track length also and see the diff?

Last edited by Jaggu : 30th March 2007 at 21:49. Reason: better go hime, too wild

Jagg bhai, the RD & RX manifold are too big to adopt it will require a lot of welding on to the head. Or the other way is to design a plate which will fit onto the stock two bolt pattern on tot he head but with a space for four bolt pattern for the RD/RX manifold. But that would place the carb far too away from the head and that's bad for good signal. But a pulsar manifold/ pulsar type custom manifold would be much neater.

As far as i know i think a short manifold is better for high rpm performance and a long one for low rpm torque. Based on this i want to place the carb as close as possible to the head. Now the carb is placed almost at the stock length from the head..length is good only gripe about that manifold being the dia.

Well the 180 jet test has been done but it's a bit on the richer side (still no black smoke from exhaust!!) and the plug is showing a good color. Engne's running cool too. There is a problem though when maxing out there's a slight flutter. it means the size is a wee bit big and ideal size would be around 170 me thinks on the current setup (it will change with compression and proper manifold). So tomorrow going to lower the needle and test. Speedo doesn't work so thinking of tagging along on the with Jk's Avenger to get a rough estimate.

Testing going to be done at NICE road very close to our place, well surfaced, six lanes and less traffic as road not yet officially opened for transport.

did the run last day. My bike with pillion and Sankar's bike. I overtoom his bike when my bike speedo showed almost near 120. My guess is that his bike was doing 115kmph. I think the pickup of his bike improved drastically too as he was able to beat me initially. Should do another run soon.
