re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

Its neither a true cafe racer nor a scrambler but I am liking this design. Good pricing as well. Looking forward to checking it out in person

Nothing to be confused about. This is in line with what the CB1100RS is to the CB1100EX.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

Frankly speaking, I love the RS more than H'ness (no offence to the existing owners) since I hate Chrome. The design looks much more appropriate, loved the design of the exhaust. Will reserve my comments further till i see the bike in flesh. I feel this should have been the actual CB 350. I feel this will heavily compete with the upcoming RE Hunter or if that is what it is called.

This is a good product, and should hit the Pulsars. Thank god they avoided the Cafe Racer look. Not a big fan of that exhaust pipe design, though (The way it slopes up). But its 'sporty', I guess.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

Was at Honda BigWing at the time of this launch, as I went there for my CB350's first service.

They had coffee themed display, probably for this 'Cafe Racer'.

Like the looks of this RS, in particular the seat. I hoped Honda would offer a bit more power for RS probably with an oil-cooler. But that would come later it seems. The 'CB350RS' badging would be a nice swap to my H'ness badge too

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

Love the CB350 RS . Still though, I like the colour schemes of the CB350 more, especially the Blue/White one.

The size of the rear seat has reduced owing to the redesigned seat. Hope they give this seat as an optional accessory for CB350 owners too.

The Bash plate looks amazing. Would definitely like one on my CB350. There have been some instances where I have scraped the underbody so the bash plate is an absolute must. And it looks much better and solid than the ones sold aftermarket.

Now for the best point: the tyres!
My main gripe with the CB350 was its lacklustre tyres.
Can anybody identify what tyres they are in the CB350RS? Can we install them in the CB350?

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

The bike definitely looks good, IMO better than the CB350 H'ness.
Would have loved to have more power though.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

Attaching a couple of pictures of both the colour options. The red one looks just so hot! I also love the pinstriping done on the tank on the red variant. One could easily mistake it for a Triumph Street Twin! Would have loved to see a 17" wheel at the front too.

Honda also seem to have addressed their brain fade of calling the earlier bike the H'ness, as the badging on this one just states CB350RS. Weirdly though, Honda explain the RS nomenclature as "Road Sailing". Does this mean the CB350RS handles like a boat?

On a serious note, Honda also thinks the market for a CB500 is not large enough at the moment

The tyres seem to be MRF Zapper Kurves. These are dual sport tyres. The CB350RS runs a 19" 100/90 at the front and a 17" 150/70 at the rear while the H'ness runs a 19" 100/90 at the front and a 18" 130/70 at the back.

So you can swap the front, but the rear will be an issue due to the difference in rim sizes.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

The dual paint tank makes it look like Splendor on steroids and however much I try, I can't shake it off.

Silencer cover on the rear portion seems to be missing, is this now an accessory instead of a necessary part?

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

Hmmm, looks like an option for those who do not like the chrome bling. Even the handle bar looks same so Rider triangle should be same ?

I prefer the CB350RS badging over H'ness, perhaps something CB350 owners can swap.
Also good to see the bash plate, which again should be useful on CB350 as well. Seat again looks neat, should be swappable.

I will let the experts to decode more technical aspects. Overall, good to see Honda exploring true potential of this 350cc platform.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

The bike looks sharper and better than the normal CB350. It’s also great that it loses the “H’ness” tag which looks tacky and out of place but Honda has merely done a Maruti kind of job overall. Style and no added substance, while it looks better than what Maruti does many a times with their models for sure. RS = Road Sailing >> seriously

They should have bumped up the power and torque figures at the very least to properly match the show and differentiate it from the other model. Hope at least it offers a sportier tune. Test ride reviews should reveal this as I couldn’t find any reference for the same anywhere.

Would love Honda to bring back the CB750F four cylinder bike. This one with the four into one exhaust system was sound nirvana.

Cheers

So is it the exact same bike with only a few cosmetic changes at 10,000 rupees more?
