Re: 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 launched at Rs. 1.08 lakhs Its amusing that eleven Chinese companies have come up with about 15 copycat designs for reverse engineered Pulsars from the 135-200 cc range. The copycat designs for the new 125 and 200 cc ones are not yet in the news. The Oriental Chinese Dragon too hence likes Pulsars though, through illegal means.
Launched on 24th November 2001, very soon Bajaj will start advertising about two decades of the brand Pulsar - no doubt it is still a market leader in the 150 cc segment. But these 20 years of baggage that the Pulsar has carried all along, with very minimum technical upgradation and also in the looks department, should not now get it branded as a "Kakkaji" bike for uncles, by the prospective buyers. Lets hope Bajaj Auto gives some new synergy to the dated design and technicals, rather than only going with lots of energy only on the cost price front. |
