Re: 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 launched at Rs. 1.08 lakhs

Call me old school, but somehow I just like the proportions of this bike. No wonder why Bajaj keeps 'updating' this bike, there is still a healthy demand for this and the 220F. Having owned the 150 back in the day, I would not mind buying this again over any Honda or Yamaha 150 cc bike This bike gets the basics done: easy maintenance, cheap spares and high availability, good headlight throw, softer suspension (better for Indian roads) and better fuel consumption vs. Power (not on paper, but the 'feeling' )

Re: 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 launched at Rs. 1.08 lakhs

Its amusing that eleven Chinese companies have come up with about 15 copycat designs for reverse engineered Pulsars from the 135-200 cc range. The copycat designs for the new 125 and 200 cc ones are not yet in the news. The Oriental Chinese Dragon too hence likes Pulsars though, through illegal means.

Launched on 24th November 2001, very soon Bajaj will start advertising about two decades of the brand Pulsar - no doubt it is still a market leader in the 150 cc segment. But these 20 years of baggage that the Pulsar has carried all along, with very minimum technical upgradation and also in the looks department, should not now get it branded as a "Kakkaji" bike for uncles, by the prospective buyers. Lets hope Bajaj Auto gives some new synergy to the dated design and technicals, rather than only going with lots of energy only on the cost price front.

Absolutely. I had gifted a Blue Pulser 150 DTSi to my brother way back in 2003. I had to take bank loan for an amount close to 60K and pay it back over a period of 4 years. Today, I'm comfortable buying a mid size car without opting for a bank loan.

The point I'm trying to make here is, one got to see the whole picture and not just a part of it
