TVS Raider 125 launched in India

Why are they promoting the yellow color in their ads? They even gave the yellow bike to all auto journos.
The yellow one looks the worst IMHO, the black and the blue ones look much better.

When the Raider reviews came out, the first thought on my mind was, thank heavens this is not the new Fiero!

TVS seems to have done almost everything right with the Raider 125. The feature list is very impressive including Sync Braking Technology (SBT), which basically is TVS's version of combined braking.

But on a motorcycle that is being promoted as a sporty 125 with 3 different variants, having a top speed recorder but not providing ABS, even as an option, is rather poor. You want to appeal to the enthusiastic young riders but couldnt even throw in ABS? Come on TVS, I expected better from you.

What harm would it have done to offer a 4th top end variant, with ABS? Even if it constituted 5% of the total sales of the Raider, the real top end variant that I suggested, would have made the Raider 125 an irresistible offering.

Unless, TVS's real plan is to get them young with the Raider 125 and within a few years, have them upgrade to the bigger Apache 160 and 200, that come feature laden and with safety essentials like ABS.

2022 TVS Raider 125 set to launch on October 19

TVS is gearing up to launch the 2022 Raider 125 on October 19. The launch event will be held on the company’s metaverse platform called TVS Motoverse.

As per the teaser released by TVS, the revised Raider 125 will get a “wicked update”. While the company hasn’t disclosed any details, the updated TVS Raider 125 is expected to get a new digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth-based SmartXonnect connectivity tech.

The new Raider 125 is expected to remain mechanically unchanged. It will carry forward the 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 11.2 BHP and 11.2 Nm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
