Re: Royal Enfield to launch 120th Anniversary limited-edition Interceptor 650

On second thoughts, I'm not getting this bike since alloys and LED headlight are very important to me. Will wait for the Cruiser

maan...that is easily, the most beautiful motorcycle on sale in India.

It will be easy to call out RE for flogging the 650 to the nth degree (Quite like the innumerable versions of a VW Polo) but in this case, its getting better and better (Like the dated Polo), with Special Editions like these. These will disappear before you know it.

Re: Royal Enfield to launch 120th Anniversary limited-edition Interceptor 650

Noob Question:

Since these are limited edition, if for some reason the tank or any of the bespoke parts get damaged, will RE be able to replace them? I guess this question applies to any limited edition vehicle.

Also I ask this since my 4 month old Interceptor's tank was heavily damaged by the SVC staff while servicing. After some back and forth they agreed to replace it with a new tank which came in 15 days but then that was the ravishing red colour which was one of the regular offerings.

I have received a unique code which is to be apparently used on December 6th, yet the website often was showing info wrt the Classic. How do I confirm if I am registered or not?

You are registered successfully for the 650 twin anniversary Edition. The mail confirmation is proof of that. It is typical RE to depict Incorrect Info on their site. There is no no 500cc RE as of today and this is a typical "I give a S**t" sort of Job from the RE Marketing team.
They know they can flog the Bike as long as enthusiast like us drool over special editions like this.

Re: Royal Enfield to launch 120th Anniversary limited-edition Interceptor 650

I have been wanting to get the interceptor but was waiting for an all black edition and this seems to be the one. This being the limited edition , what are the chances of actually getting it? Thanks!

That is in Chennai, would be so much more in Bangalore, seems like quite a premium for what is mainly a paint job, hopefully all genuine accessories are installed as they were shown.

Is the asking price of 4.5L justified? Most of the bloggers were expecting a premium of 10k over the existing models🤣

Re: Royal Enfield to launch 120th Anniversary limited-edition Interceptor 650

Rs 450,000 for Interceptor is way too much, considering this is Royal Enfield & not Honda!!

At the time of writing, the most expensive OTR price in Chennai is for Interceptor 650 BS6 is Mark 2 Chrome which splits up to...
Ex-Showroom - 289,806
Regn & Road Tax - 24034
Insurance - 19057
Totals to Rs 332,897

Even if RSA & extended warranty (EW) is included for Rs 5799, the OTR is 338,696!!

The highest price of Inty BS6 Mr. Clean being...
Ex-Showroom - 320,177
Regn & Road Tax - 26464
Insurance - 19243
Totals to Rs 365,938 + RSA & EW of Rs 5799 = 371,737

So Inty is priced 1.3 times or carries a premium of 24.75% premium & Conti priced 1.29% times or a premium of 22.55% over the most expensive models

Is it justified? Well, art has no justification on the price considering there's going to be only 120+120 machines unique in this country. Only the sales number has to tell!!

Shoots!! Realized my mistake!! It's 60 Conti & 60 Inty for India

May be the price is justified for riding one of extremely unique motorcycle in India? My only apprehension from day 1 (and these limited editions included) is, if I need to replace the tank/seat, do I get the part? Would RE make the same custom part available via ASC?

Hello,
I booked the GT 650 Rocker RED about 10 days back with basic accessories for an on road price (Pune) of 3.67 L .

At the same time also registered for the 120 edition . But now seeing the prices will opt out of that - more than 1.2 L does not make sense as one gets the same dynamics and engine .
Exclusivity always demands a premium , I do understand that .

But apart from the price many rider friends who already own interceptors are saying the 650 twins are like blank slates providing an opportunity to customize and mod and provide a very high emotional quotient for the owner. Options for that would be limited for the 120 edition due to the overall theme.
Thanks-
