I am in the same boat with you. Had been waiting for CB300 for a while, almost two years? Missed this due to BS6 and lock-down in 2020. I was expecting it to be cheaper in BS6 when they localize production. Weight is my highest priority, I am riding a 130kg FZ150. Looks like we will have to go to Yamaha showroom again.

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R BS6 launched at Rs. 2.77 lakh

What's wrong with Honda Bigwing webiste? Its been 4 days since the BS6 version of the CB300R was launched, however this bike is mysteriously missing from the virtual assistant Product List. Look at the pic below & I can't select this bike to get more info. Anyone else facing the same issue?

I booked the CB300R from Honda Bigwing, Kolkata.
The booking amount was 5K INR. I was told that the bikes will reach the showroom after 22nd January.

Many congratulations 7000plusrpm on being the first one at least here on this forum to book the CB300R. Now eagerly waiting for you to lay your hands on it on 22nd Jan and give us first hand feedback. It would be interesting to know what made you choose this bike over the others. Have you earlier ridden the CB300R?

Thank you.

Currently, I ride an FZ25, non-ABS, 2017 model. I had met with an accident last Feb and dislocated my shoulder. Since then, I wanted to have a motorcycle with ABS as standard. I hardly tour on my 2-wheeler and for city rides and occasional breakfast ride, a naked one would suffice.

I'm no enthusiast and prefer something that is low on maintenance. Also, with my ever-increasing weight, I wanted to keep a light machine. The Honda matches them exactly.

I had a test ride of the CB300R in its BS4 guise. Since I got a very low value for my FZ then, coupled with a lack of slipper clutch at its price point, I didn't go ahead with the purchase.

I hardly looked at other models. I had a test ride of the Gixxer 250, thought long and hard about the Apache RR310 and its BMW sibling, and dropped them once Honda announced the CB. I'm in my mid-30s and with my usage of about 7-8K KM a year, I think this is something I can use for the next 5-8 years.

Thanks for your honest reply and sorry to know about your accident. Even for me a dual channel ABS is a must (that's the most basic safety net). Fortunately all 250cc+ bikes come with a dual channel set-up.

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R BS6 launched at Rs. 2.77 lakh

Guys just look at the below video from InfoBike. The rider is just ripping the CB300R in the ghat roads, going 140kmph and beyond. Bike in total control. But this is a nerve wrecking ride and you will have to grip your chair handles very firmly.

It was either this or the SF250 for me, with the latter better suited for higher speeds with clipons and a fairing, but the grunt on the CB is now hard to ignore! Thanks for sharing!

Check this video out then of the Gixxer 250 SF going up against the KTM RC 390 ...

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R BS6 launched at Rs. 2.77 lakh

I just called Honda big wing Lavalle road, Bangalore showroom. The vehicle is not available for display yet. It is available from first week of Feb. so far 7 vehicles have been booked at the showroom. Booking amount is 5K and it is refundable.

I wanted to see the bike in person, but disappointed with the news.

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R BS6 launched at Rs. 2.77 lakh

Honda EU just launched the '22 edition of the CB300R. For Europe, new features include
  • Slip And Assist Clutch
  • Showa 41mm SFF-BP front forks
  • Euro 5 compliant engine and exhaust
  • Revised Dash with a gear position indicator instead of the coolant temperature gauge
  • 4 colorways, 3 re-hashed and one all new

Press Release

Seriously the Indian version is not even getting SFF-BP forks with the price increase, otherwise they'd have mentioned it since they boast an awful lot about it being the same one from the CB650R.

Honda, please offer this as an option if not standard. The bronzed forks and alloys look even more lovely in red
