New scam in India: Side stand of your bike has not been propped up

You must be knowing the existence of this con. Just, i am just putting it out there for you all to read and be aware of.

This one is for mostly bikers, but might be modified for car owners too.

The thing is, in an uncrowded place, there would be 2 or 3 people. While you are riding past them, they would call out to you, saying that the side stand of your bike has not been propped up. Naturally, you would turn to look, pulling your concentration away from the road for a moment. This moment is when 2 more people in a car or another bike crash into you.

In the course of you arguing or apologising to them, the whole gang would attempt to rob you.

For a car, the quantum of the gang would be bigger and they would call out, citing a flat tyre. When you stop to check, more people would jump out and threaten you.

Be safe guys. This might be old news, but no harm in refreshing it.

Cheers

In the car scenario, there are instances where such gangs would call out for petrol or diesel spill out of the lid, which makes the driver stop the car to have a look at the fuel lid. One must be cautious when put in such situations.
