After the p220/p200,its the Kristal's turn to be recalled

As per Moneycontrol India :: News :: Bajaj Auto recalls 'Kristal' to rectify issues :: Bajaj Auto :: Business :: Kristal,Bajaj Auto, scooter,Rajiv Bajaj,TVS Motor's ,Scooty Pep Plus ,Hero Honda,Pleasure , Bajaj is recalling the newly launched Kristal.

Some months back, the p220 had FI probs, then the P200 had barrel issues and now this! Hope Bajaj aint going too fast on new product launches..

My friend booked a Kristal in Blr, the showroom people( Popular Bajaj ) kept pushing the delivery date for arund 15 days after which they finally admitted that there is a design defect and so the model has been recalled.

Good part is that company is mature enough to admit it and sadly there are thousands of riders who will be stuck with an inferior product thanks to the trigger happy marketing team of Bajaj.

If the company is mature enough to admit it, chances are they'll exhibit the same maturity in replacing the defective parts for free once they find a permanent engineering fix

From a friend who's a Suzuki dealer, the scooter is due for launch in September. It's been ready for launch for over 6 months now though, did not get launched due to some management delay.

They are also having quite a few bikes ready for launch in our market inlcuding a 200-250-400 etc. according to my friend but time frame is around next year or so.

Sorry for double post. Editing time over.

Heard that Sunny, the owner of XBhp, has confirmed himself that Krystal hasn't been locked.

And the topic has been locked in Overdrive and XBhp forums.

What is the "Kristal"? Another evolution on the line? What is it this time, a 163cc bike?

Kristal is the DTSi scooter , good to see Bajaj is acting in a mature manner and instead of trying to avoid the issue, its proactively fixing it.
