I recently came across a interesting writeup on the Jawa bikes, at the overdrive forum. Then I googled a bit and came across the yezdi website of Ideal Jawa. It contains all the tech specs about the Yezdi products.
Just wondoring if the Yezdi range is still available in the market:confused: Does anyone have a idea about this??

IDEAL JAWA ( INDIA ) LIMITED
It got discontinued over a decade back!
They are not producing the Yezdi anymore. I guess they kept the website up only for vintage / information purpose.
I wish they had, unfortunately no. Yeah, the website & the factory site exists still.
I had asked this same question looong back.
is the site up with machinery and everything?
I heard there was some story behind the close down. any info?
Hi - Unfortunately no ! The factory in/near Mysore shut operations quite some time back almost 15 years ago and the whole place was mired in labour conflicts etc. Ultimately the plant and land was sold off or something is what I heard last ? Isn't this right ?
Production stopped way back in 97.the whole factory was demolished few months back making way for an apartment complex. So nothing remains.
BTW,International Yezdi day was celebrated few days back(08-07-07)
That Bike Rocked the 70s and 80s..Sadly FE took priority and the bike faded to the background..
Was my fav bike for 9 yrs! Never even touched anything else.
One of the greatest mobikes on Indian Roads.
cheers.
My Dad had an Jawa, way back in 90s but I was too young even to touch it without the stand :(. Now I want to ride it, after reading so many good things from this forum, but he sold it off way back. Will try and get my hands on one of them for sure. There are still quite a few running around in my village.
Hi! Guys,
I too owned a lovely Yezdi Roadking, really repent for selling it. Wish they would continue the bikes with all the latest technology. The Roadking really felt like a bike, no piddly 125cc, 135cc, 100cc. Nice big 250CC of an engine.
Wish I could buy it again, brand new.
You can find used Yezdi's for around 5k in Bangalore..not sure about spare parts availability though...
I still have its (unique) key.
