Re: Three Suzuki Access scooters in a row | Ownership Review

I purchased Access in 2009 and drove it until 2019. The motor was from Suzuki, Japan. The three people who live in my flat, all of whom had back colour at one point, purchased what I recommended .

Two of us purchased the Access again in 2019 - Alloy wheel with normal brakes. I explicitly didn't go for disc brakes because of the cost of the brake pads.

The ride quality is excellent, and hasn't had any major problems yet. My wife thinks that the scooter is too high and hard to control. I'm considering decreasing the thickness of the seat. Is there some other better ways of making, please share.

I call it as Toyota of scooters. Do ensure to change the engine oil as per the specifications.

Hi Vigsom,

First of all it was a delight to read your post as usual, I have been through the same situation as you this past 6 months. We already have a 2020 access 125 in our family for dad and now I also wanted one for city usage.

I was searching for a good one on OLX in Chennai and pondy for sometime and could not find a good one for reasonable price and if price was reasonable there were issues.

So finally took the decision to buy new last month but I didn't want that Bluetooth ride connect edition as I found the features rather useless and cumbersome. But dealer was not taking any bookings for this model due to hige waiting period, hence went with the ride connect edition and after 1 month of using and testing use case for it I still find the features useless. But the rest of the bike is as good as a scooter can get in this price.

Crawl speed stability is bad, but once you pick up speed it handles well. Enough power, good brakes what more does one need!!!

Re: Three Suzuki Access scooters in a row | Ownership Review

I never owned a scooter after Bajaj Super then a Bajaj Stride. In 2016, I found myself living 2 km from office. It was really a walk through a park and I stopped using a car even. Market area was just 4km away and I thought of getting a gentleman's scooter (having sold RD350 few years back and RXZ was almost dead).

I just checked out Honda and TVS but didn't like the garish paint and sticker job. Access 125 was understated, elegant and 'full size'. The seat felt like a long sofa set (bit hard though). After 7 years and 32,000 kms, it is just as reliable.
