Fan is operated by a relay which in turn is operated by a temperature/coolant sensor which in turn is controlled by ECM which is powered by the battery.

Battery to Fuse F1 to Fuse F5 to Relay K50 is for the radiator fan, its triggered by the green-pink wire from the ECU - pin 49 of the single connector.

Even my somewhat newer fan has a lot of resistance and will instantly stop. It will not even keep spinning on its own momentum for one second
