Xpulse seat height is 825mm.
Xpulse pro (rally edition) seat height is 891mm.

Ofcourse they cater to different segment. Hero never expected the regular 'janta' to buy the xpulse rally pro. For them normal xpulse is anyways there.

Earlier, when Hero started offering a rally kit for their xpulse 2V, it saw a very good demand. Means there is a small but sizable market comprising of serious off-road enthuiasts. So a separate model as Rally pro was born along with normal xpulse (4V). Atleast in Bangalore, I do see a decent number of Xpulse rally pro on road, as the bike stands out with its taller stance and catchy stickers in a mix of white, black and red.

I don’t get why people are disappointed with 885mm seat height for the R variant. For all the regular riders who are more interested in adventure touring (not hard-core serious off-roading), there is already the X variant. This X variant is same as R in terms of design, chassis, engine, etc with some missing features like cornering ABS, screen type, etc and comes with smaller alloy wheel (easy puncture fix), and non adjustable suspension where travel is reduced by 30mm. Not to mention a substantial reduction in cost as well.

And if KTM has to offer R in Indian market, I hope its the pure version with 21/18 setup. Diluting it with a spoked 19/17 combo would take the bike closer to X. And for those looking at some reduction in seat height of 885mm, i am sure there would be after market lowering kits etc.

Once someone is used to a 21" front, all other smaller tyres feel inadequate in comparison.

Exactly, I was using Himi 411 for last 6 years with descent off road trips. even though its 70% on road and 30% off road, once we taste the 21" front, there is no go-back especially where I live, we have enough "off-road" sections on road

I tried upgrading to 390 ADV, but after test ride got disappointed with the stiff suspension and the ability to roll over the objects because of the 19". 21" is actually fun.

As soon as the bike's seat height in Indian context increases beyond 820-830mm people start crying everywhere. Without even seeing the bike in flesh, not test riding it, heck not even sitting on it they jump straight to the conclusion~

Oh this bike's is too tall;
It will fail in Indian market;
We don't ride tall bikes here.

(Not everyone is short and not all the short guys fear riding tall bikes)

Man, I couldn’t have said it better. We’ve got this weird fixation with walking while sitting on our bikes, dangling both feet and using them to move along. But then again, most of the people in this country are too impatient on roads and always trying to squeeze into the smallest gaps possible. If that’s the case, then maybe this bike isn’t for you. But honestly, as long as you can get one foot down, it shouldn’t be a problem with lighter bikes like these.

Looks so freaking good. I hope they launch all the versions here. I also spot something like a front disc protector built in which means they really are going to sell this as an absolute off road weapon. Can't wait for it to be available.

What a machine! Finally all of KTMs off-road pedigree has made it its way to the 390.

The Himalayan 450 and Scrambler 400 are going to face some tough competition. If KTM price this well this should be a runaway success.

Man this looks fantastic! I hope the 21" variant makes its way to India. Although I already own the current gen 390 Duke, I'm definitely going to test ride the Adventure as soon as it is launched here.

I'm looking to upgrade to an ADV next year and it'd be a toss up between this and the upcoming Tuareg 457.

It Looks fantastic. Reminds me of a Strider from the game " Horizon Zero Dawn". Would assume this would come up to 4.5/4.8 on road easily. Himalayan will still have its takers owing to the pricing , but this looks to be more of a direct threat to the "tuareg 457".

Damn! This Enduro looks so good. Should be a great option for those who wished for a more powerful xPulse and are disappointed by power figures of the KX230.

This for sure won't be the ADV version.

Based on the image in Post #24. It is the adventure R version. The 21/18 wheeled version with 885mm seat height. The lettering R on the fairing also helps identify this model.

KTM cooked! And from the leaks, these look amazing. Lets see which all ADV versions makes it to India as here, all the test mules were running 19-17 spoked wheels with TFT and adjustable suspension.

An ADV 250 without the DRL and TFT will also be launched probably as it was spotted too. And they might phase out the older 390X model for the new X.

A 390 with alloys and cruise control will be epic.
