Seeing your description, I personally feel it was a high price to pay. Anyways, bullets are in great demand these days.

Just a coat of paint wont help, unless you want to pass it on. You need to atleast strip out the rusted parts and do it up from scratch.

This should be your last priority though. Try changing the muffler to a more free flowing type.

If its that very wide tyre, then probably even the swing arm would have been modified to accommodate the tyre. With the stock tyres, you wouldn't have any scraping issues and moreover, you can adjust the height on the stock shock absorbers itself.

Hello sir, i made that post in 2008 and Bullet resale price have gone up since then. Nowadays the asking prices are in the range of 45k to 50k for a good bike. I do not have much idea regarding prices in Mumbai.

A friend is picking up a Bullet from WB for 45k since he couldn't get one in Kerala in in that Budget. My uncle was offered 50K for his 95 Bullet 350 in Mahe, he's not selling though.

Thanks for the help iron. We have noticed rust inside the fuel tank too and getting it repaired is the first priority now. Any idea on how it is done?

Stiffening the suspension will result in harsh ride.

How about an increase in the suspension height. Would that result in a stiff ride too? The bike looks really cool with this tyre.

Thank you for the reply Jeeva. Any idea on the costs involved in getting a full paint job done. We are thinking of matte black.

Can any one suggest some good and reliable bullet mechanics in Hyderabad. We bought the bike from a mechanic named Goud from the Alwal area. The guy quotes high prices for everything. BTW this bike will be used only on weekends.

You may stumble upon one but you will probably have to put in another 5ok to get it running without any hiccups.
There are 2 major reasons why a vehicle is sold below its reasonable market price.
1) No papers, fake papers, involved in an accident.
2) Not in working condition.

The stock suspension that the bike came with was non adjustable.
If you or your previous owner have changed to gas type suspension( found on the electra, tbird, macho) than it can be adjusted.
But this will be all trial and error.
Post some high res images of your bike.
