sad to see that company no more
i own both the rd and the yezdi350 and i say that the rd is clearly much much quicker all the way from 0 to top end. the yezdi stands no chance against the rd, absolutely no chance.

and i too do not want to make this a pissing contest between the 2 bikes. however, i am a great fan of the yezdi350 and i love it for its smoothness and easy handling. its a classic in my books and it attracts as much appreciative glances as the rd does anywhere i take it.

Folks..I just picked up a Road King for 10K.
Advise me what kind of rear view mirrors should be fitted.Ofc original mirrors would be hard to find.
Also what kind of Helmet would be advisable for Roadking?

Wondering why this bike seems so familiar to me. Is it because I am the owner?

Kuttapan, that's a rare bike you got there, is the above photo a recent once, it's seems the bike is in very very good condition. I had a Roadking between 1993 and 1996, had bought it when they were back in the market for a breaf span and shut shop again. In any case Java and Yezdi's are special bike and will always have a special charm about them, can you believe I got 25k in 1996 when I sold mine.

If Yezdi 350's tank would be replaced by a Roadking's tank... how would it look?

No. It would look YUCK !!!

The monarch had a slightly bigger Yezdi 175 tank, but shape was same. Monarch never came with a Roadking tank.

I think the Monarch came with the Yezdi 250 Deluxe tank. The Delux had a slightly rounded - but not like Roadking - tank.

No, at least the monarchs I saw did not.

but the deluze tank is what I like best, among all Yezdi's. The deluxe also had non-tapering exhaust ends, like the yezdi 350.
