It looks stunning.I especially love the rear mudguards that used to come back then.If you revert back to the D stays it would complete it.

I was at my mechanics a few days back,a guy was restoring his enfield and was about to ditch those rear mudguards because it had a few holes in it.I intervened quickly and told him to get it patched and painted and it would be as good as new
Yes, that's my friend's 67 model single owner G2.
As far as I know, and he being a sucker for originality, the stays are what came with the bike from factory. The rims, spokes and every god damn thing in it is "Made in England"

EDIT: I remember the seat clamps being cut off to fit the seat. Perhaps, you are right. The originals must be tucked away safely.
There is this aashan in Kozhikode, who makes these steel parts hand beaten. One can hardly find any difference between the original and the one he makes.

Here's our Forum's very first Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 in Marine Blue color(I think so). I got the delivery just yesterday, I will be creating a ownership thread very soon about the overall experience from booking to delivery. Meanwhile enjoy the pics of my new best friend The Thunderbird 500.

That's a matte grey coat is it?

Love the blacking out of those few bits(handlebars, headlamp rim),Looks good with matte over chrome.

What's it running on at front?CEAT?

Can you give any details on that seat that is used.I'd like something of that sort for mine shown here

No wonder the oldie is getting all the attention here. Oh how I wish I could finish restoring my "oldies" one being late 1960's B1 and another being the early 1960's G2. These oldies sure catch the attention more than the brand new motorcycles from RE.

The seat is a shaped up standard 350 seat.
The tyres keep changing. Right now, its Avon Speedmaster.

Re: All T-BHP Royal Enfield Owners- Your Bike Pics here Please

I bought a second hand, Continental GT a couple of weeks back. It is about 6 months old and done about 2100KM when I got it. Will start a ownership thread soon. These are my first photo uploads and may not be up to the mark since they are taken with a point and shoot.

Hey Rennjit, I had clicked some pics of my B1 but all the pics were lost when I lost my mobile phone, needless to say one has to start using the cloud server to store such pics. Nevertheless I have some pics of my G2 although not the full body just engine and gearbox. I will post the pics once the complete restoration is done.

Hi Thanks and I paid 1.75L. Thrown goodies are :
Performance silencer which I changed to the stock for the present. On the very first day I burnt my trousers since the bottom of the trouser tends to rub the exposed silencer. Somehow I prefer the muted sound of the stock silencer too.
Twin seat
The bar end mirrors
Bike cover.
I will start the ownership thread next week. I am travelling most of the time until this weekend.
