Very true Raccoon.

Will try sourcing some better brand of 2T oil. Will consult Prajeep for some reliable places.

I dunno why most people end up with Castrol Super TT. When I last tried it, it was amongst the worst I'v tried. Smokes a lot and does not burn clean and makes the engine feel rougher. If fixated on Castrol, or if hunting for better brands is an issue, I'd at least use Jet X.
It is available at the GULF regional office here in Saidapet, Chennai. The office is the regional supplier to the southern region. I called the office and personally went there and bought Gulf 2T. And the person there told me that they have Fully Synthetic 2T oil too costing around Rs. 500 a litre.

^^^ Thats great dude. You are lucky. Unfortunately, even the Gulf distributor here told me that 2t oil is no longer available... except in small sachets. And I wasn't ready to use those. I just hope the stuff they are selling you isn't too old...

Thanks for the pics. I believe I saw these bottles at a Gulf dealer, but the manufacturing year was 2006; so I declined to purchase it. Can you mention how you find this stuff compared to other 2t oils you have used?

I would say it is very smooth. To make a comparison, would take Yamalube plus extra smoothness. The smoke is absolutely minimized. Better rev. I think would need some more time to give more information as I have hardly used 100 kms.

^^^ It is Shell VSX 2 / VSX2 2t oil.

The apprehension I have about this oil is that Gulf says it meets low smoke requirements of JASO FC. What about other parameters?? Also, it does not carry the JASO certification logo (as can be seen in the pics).

That of course is not evidence that it is a lesser oil... but I would have felt more comfy if it at least had these specs.

I dunno when our desi oil companies will have a JASO FD oil...

Thanks Pradeep. Will be getting that oil for my next fill.

One more Q : Do i need to wait until the current 2T oil in the can is completely emptied or can i fill it when the oil is nearing end? Will mixing cause any problem?

Draining the old oil completely and then using the shell vsx2 2t makes sense.

While it is best to drain all the oil out, doing so poses a big risk in that it could induce air bubbles in the system. So do be careful about how you go about it.

Thanks Prajeep and Raccoon. I will follow the drain and fill procedure.

@ Prajeep: I need the butterfly crash guard similar to the one in your bike. In bike world they said it would cost 500 change. Is that a good price or can i get it for cheaper in J.C. Road. I also need 1 right front indicator.
Let me know.
