just curious, do you remember which all brands of pistons were used ?

& to your tyre query, a quick calc gives ~ 81.7", 78.8" & 76.3" for 3.5" stock, then 90 & 80 sizes.

Re: What to do ? AVL and STD.

If I remember correctly, the original pistons were Escorts in a lot of Enfields that I saw being opened up in front of me back in Chandigarh.

Am not sure which company manufactures the original pistons now for the UCE, any idea?

Re: What to do ? AVL and STD.

The Bullet has been recently Upgraded with better brakes, and tubeless tires. For the whole procedure, we tried the Karizma 18 inch setup first so that we will have a better selection of tires. But unfortunately the bike did not look rite. It looked very small. And because of time constraints I had to let the 18 inch setup go because it would have taken a lot of time and resources to make it look and feel rite.

^^Lovely looking bullet there Desi bhai.

So how is the braking performance now viz-a-viz old setup? What make tyres are these?

What is total cost of this setup? Brakes, wheels, tyres?

Re: What to do ? AVL and STD.

Thanks for liking the Bullet Bandhav.

The braking is good as compared to the old setup, i am expecting it to improve as i ride, its quite sharp.

The tyres are IRC 100/ 19 on the front
Duro 110/ 19 on rear.

Total paid till now is for the tyres and brakes. tyres were 4500 both and rims were 4700 both.

The cost of the Brakes setup cannot be disclosed on line but yes certianly if some one wants a setup done i can get a good pricing... last time a friend Mukul got a front disk for his Bullet and i sorted him with a brand new setup for around 5000, at that time it was 2500 less than Market. i have not worked out the price for myself yet. but you will get to know on Sunday.

Re: What to do ? AVL and STD.

Seems like you have got yourself a great deal on brakes.

From where you sourced the tyres? The pattern on the duro looks pretty decent, have you tried some sort of leaning on these? How confidence inspiring these are compared to the stock tyres?

Is all the modification done keeping some trip in mind?

Re: What to do ? AVL and STD.

@desideep : Your machine is looking great with the alloys and the wide profile tyres. How is the handling and stability ? Does it require any modifications on the stock front forks to incorporate the disk brakes ? Why the rear brake lever left in place with the disks on ?
regards adrian

Hi the tyres are good on normal road dont plan your offroading with them, they feel a lot more planted to the normal MRF's
