Yes you are correct, but it was the later version (or new model) of supra. Whereas the pics shown by alok_balsekar is first supra.

Hey Alok,

Thanks a ton bro for putting up the manual cover photo of this beauty, i was just in my SSC when we bought this baby home in 1990. It was by far the most beautiful bike made in India.

Does anyone have any pics of the Supra the original and the Power-up, if yes then please post them here.

Regards
SF

Those were only coulor options available. In fact just yesterday, I was offered a Power Up one for free by a friend. However he has painted it grey. It was blue/silver earlier.

The stickering is of the" power up" 11bhp version , but the bike is the 1st generation 9.65bhp model.

I saw this poorly maintained Supra in Cochin last week. The reg. no. is of 1992. An aged person was riding it and I don't think he knows the real value of this bike.

Re: TVS-Suzuki Supra

WOW! a thread on supra!

I learned to ride on a JAWA which my father had for 20 years, of which i rode it for the last 5 years, after which we had to sell it as we had to move base to chennai.

My dad got me a RED SUPRA POWERUP when i was in my first year of college. I had the bike with me for 17 years. I sold it off only in 2009 after it was left parked unused for close to 2 years because of some electric fault.

About 2 days after we sold the bike the guy who we sold it to came riding it to our house to collect the documents. He told us that it was only a minor electric problem and the engine ticked over fine even after 2 years of being left unused.

It was that reliable a bike.

I tried a few of the newer 4-stroke bikes like the pulsar and the apache but never felt the kind of surge when i turned the accelerator as i felt with the supra.

I am kind of hoping that the Honda CBR 250R will come close to the Supra for me.

Easily one of the best bikes of the 2 stroke era along with the Yamaha RX 100 and the Suzuki Shogun.

Another pic of me on my first 2 wheeler, or rather 3 wheeler

Re: TVS-Suzuki Supra

Thank you all for this thread!

The manual was a great help Alok. I have a Ind-Suzuki Supra manufactured in the year 1992. I have rode almost all the bikes, old and new generation ones. To me, there is and never can be a substitute for my Supra.

A ride so awsome it has got the perfect power output. If you like to go slow and enjoy the ride, just be gentle on the throttle. It might not have the mind numbing acceleration, but on highways he is the king. Pathetic road?, no problemo.
From nelliyampathy to cochin in two hours was the greatest ride of my life. The feeling of standing up and riding the pot holes of vadakkanchery like a moto cross rider, i felt great pride.
I have never known it's top speed, the engine keeps on going and my needle broke thrice on 90.

I have no words to describe it. The vehicle currently rests in my home at Ezhupunna.

Wish there were more Supras alive. Two strokes are the real bikes.

Everything said above is my opinion and of those who have rode that sweet ind-suzuki machine.

Peace!

Re: TVS-Suzuki Supra

Do you still have the owner's manual? Someone gifted me a Supra and I plan to restore it to its former glory. Thanks in advance.
