Re: Sound from disc brake - Enfield Bullet

Need help!!

In my brand new Thunderbird 500, the rear disk is touching the pads.
But it is not continuous, but only on one section mainly.

I need help for
1. Immediate resolution. Possible in DIY?
2. Is the disk warped? Do I need to get it changed?

Since yours is a new Thunderbird 500, don't attempt any DIY. Get it done at the dealership.

Perhaps, it requires some adjustment. Take it to the dealership.

Re: Sound from disc brake - Enfield Bullet

Went to the Market Yard Dhone service centre. They tried to brush it off by saying use the brakes and it will set. Told the manager, am used to disc brakes and that he needs to make the effective. Lever play increased, brakes working fine.

Regarding the pad touching, I rode to office and will ride back. Lets see how it shapes up.

Yes, keeping it below 60 is tough....and can rarely use the fifth gear.
