Lets just say that if it was from Chinoy, HE WOULD KNOW. This is probably some Shogun unit pushed into the RD.

You dont come across Chinoy's kit by accident.

best way to check.
chinoys kit is a white transparent box.
a little round thing.

very clean and distinct looking.
the chances that you are running a chinoy Cdi are almost nil.

moreover if your running that CDi the difference can very well be felt.

im going to be coming to see your shogun tomorrow.so ill confirm for you

cheers

i dont have a digicam yet, so will take pix thru a cell or sumthin in the next couple of days
sorry bout the delay for the pix...

the shoguns been overhauled bout 1100 km back (rebored engine with a new piston, new clutch plates, new cdi unit)
the engine is very sound...cosmetically, it needs a bit of tightening here and there..

there are many few mechanics who are genuine with their reputation to service with the RD. Try asking other RD owners where they get their RD serviced. It will be helpful.

Otherwise I know many people who have had their RD's spoiled by the mechanics who dunno how to service and repair a twin cylinder bike.

These are some of the RD's modified in India. I liked em very much. They are courtest the yamaha Rd350 yahoo group which is actively supported by www.bsmotoring.com

bsmotoring used to feature RD350 articles every month until recently.

I also have the rd350 and jawa 350 print ads. will post em if you people are interested.
