S cross is NOT a car to be bought if you are sitting in the rear seat. The headrests are not the most comfortable but a major problem is the lack of rear AC vents. This is a huge flaw, amplified in places like Delhi, in this otherwise good car.
As an S-Cross owner for 3+ years, I would suggest you to look at some other car from a rear seat comfort perspective.

Interesting choice, why choose it over P3ST? |
Price was the deciding factor between the Michelin and Continental.
After running on some 96k on stocks I got JKs replaced with Continental MC5 in stock size.
Have already clocked 1,500 kms and the difference is just amazing! clap:

What was the reason for changing the shock absorbers? My car's rear suspension has become stiff of late, wondering if I can ask them to change the shock absorbers under warranty.
Thanks! |
Hi, could you elaborate on the issues faced in your S cross rear suspension?
The below link has some info, does it match your cars symptoms?

Do have a read and please do not forget to describe your rear shock concerns, from what km did you start facing the issues, etc.
Thanks.

Nice choice, wish you use MC5 for 96k kms or more.

How much did the Continentals cost you ? My Goodyears will be up for replacement soon, so I am also exploring options.

6,900/- from Saini Tyres, Dwarka.
The Parking lights (T10) was not working. Ordered LED lamps from Amazon (Rs.100). Wonderful lights for this price.
Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Beawar-Sirohi-Palanpur-Ahmedabad-Vadodra-Surat-Mumbai. Heading back to Delhi on the 5th, should be crossing 1,00,000 KMs milestone then. :D

The problem continued for a few more kms, on return the same thing happened with 2nd gear. Somehow managed to get the car home. I am suspecting it to be the gear synchronizer rings which is a known issue with 90hp DDis :Frustrati. Odometer is at 94,229 kms. |
This problem is present even in 75bhp too. My Swift suffered a Synchro failure just 2 days before I sold the car (75K). Earlier, Maruti used to use Imported SGP Synchro rings. The failure started happening the moment they started localizing.
Facing starter issue in my s cross 1.3 zeta. The car is only cranking when pushing the start/stop button, but not able to start. However, when leaving the car overnight or idle for a long duration, it starts perfectly. No message in the MID either. The problem persists when starting the engine after a brief halt when it is still hot. What may be the issue?
The car is out of warranty now.
Thanks
Looks like the battery is dying out. How old is your battery ?

That for sure looks like battery issue. I've had similar experience with my Alto, Wagon R and Ritz. The car would start in single crank in morning. But it would fail to do so after running even for 2-3 kms. Then again it would start perfectly if left to cool down. Get battery checked.

Immediately change your battery. Will not give any other symptoms other than slightly prolonged cranking time. If you postpone, may get stranded in the middle of no where.
Spent a day at Gorai Beach near Mumbai. Return journey to NCR starts on Saturday.
