Welcome back Titanium after a long hiatus on this thread.

My TUV300 has covered 7150 Kms in the last six months. A week back, I drove from Mangalore to Lonavla. The trip lasted 6 days and we covered 1850 Kms. I was the only driver as my sister doesn't drive and I enjoyed driving the tank every moment. It performed simply superb! Had no issues anywhere.
Wonderful and quite confidence inspiring to know that you did this 1.8K km trip all by yourself without any hiccups, kudos to you and your tank.:thumbs up

My TUV300 is my pride and buying it is one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Love the roomy cabin, love the look which is tough and imposing, love the performance and above all, love the fact that it is made in India. It may not be perfect but as I've mentioned before, nothing is perfect in this world except for Mother Nature. After completing the last long trip successfully, I must say, "Praise the Lord and Praise Mahindra!"
I am sharing few pictures of the tank taken during the trip and some taken in my hometown. Please pardon me for the picture quality. For all tank owners, old and new, welcome to TUV brotherhood! Happy driving!
Nice pictures there. We all know that you are very much emotionally attached to your TUV, like all of us with our respective tanks. Most of us knew that the initial lot of tank owners will have to face some niggling issues and most of us did face them. However slowly but surely we are overcoming them one by one. As we put up more kilometers our confidence in our tanks is only going to grow. Trips like these reveal the true nature of the car, its capabilities, its vices and virtues.

My only prayer to God is let all the tank owners keep venturing on such long trips, let all such trips be successful & fulfilling to say the least and treat all of us with wonderful travelogues and pictures. Long live all the tanks and tank ownersclap:

Mods: Please merge this post with my earlier post as I could not edit the earlier post since it was out of the 30 mins window.

I wrote a mail to Customer Care Manager, Bangalore Area Office and he requested me to contact Service Manager - Sireesh Auto. Today morning I went to Sireesh Auto service centre and they have inspected the vehicle. They have found a minor leakage from a hose near a joint. They said it is a running leakage hence not visible in parking area. They showed me the area and it is slightly coloured with coolant. Since the fix require few hours time, I would take the vehicle on this Friday. They have filled up coolant to MAX level and will check it on Friday.

Previously I had Maruti and had apprehension about Mahindra Service but my five months experience with Mahindra Customer Support is very good.

It feels so good to see these appraising words for TUVs. I wish we TUV AMT owners could also post similar things. But the horror stories are seems never ending for us, as one of the fellow TUV owner posted a near death situation just because of a unique feature of TUV 300 AMT to start downshifting as soon as you press A pedal to the fullest just to overcome from an overtake situation.

Trips and pics like these are infact increasing the prospective of buying the TUV.

Hopefully will be a proud owner of the Bull in less than a month. Just waiting for the showroom agents to bring in the TUV to see if it really fits in my apartment parking. Fingers crossed, am positive it will, however to be sure.:D

Test driven the mHAWK100 – T8 manual variant. Apart from the engine upgrade, upgrading the middle row was a good move.

Welcome back Titanium and good to know that you are making maximum use of the tank. Keep rolling and drive safe.

If I remember right, this leakage was reported by owners who purchased the first batch of TUVs and M&M had rolled out a fix where in the coolant pipe clamp was changed from plastic to metal. Do take pics of the location of leakage and share.

I have been monitoring my coolant levels over the last 45 days and I see that it has dropped to the half way mark between max & min. When I did the first service in Feb mid at 3K kms, the coolant level was at max and hence did not need top up. Now at 9K kms, it has dropped to the midway mark and I am guessing that its a running leakage as reported by airbus. Will get it checked during the 2nd service next month.

Did read this on the facebook group as well. Sad to see the treatment meted out to the AMT owners. Wonder if the new mHawk100 also has similar issues. Ezee - did you try taking a long test drive off the new AMT to see if similar issues persist?

Have you test driven the mHawk80? Would like to know what is the difference in performance and NVH between the two.

Perfect mate, no other car better than the TUV for such a kind of passenger occupancy & luggage. I guess the kids might have occupied the 3rd row of seats. How was their comfort level throughout the journey, given that your tank encountered some bad roads?

Kudos for the near flawless trip. Yeah, the driver side seat belt not retracting completely is a problem in my TUV too from day one. However, I have not bothered to report it since, it is not that a major issue.

agree: . Inspite of having just the front AV vents, the blower speed of 1/2 is sufficient to keep the huge cabin cool in this blistering summer. However one must have sun shades or sun films (which are illegal) to retain the cooling.

That's quite decent, can't expect more for the kind of load, luggage and roads you encountered. For my recent 500 km trip, I could get 14.32 kmpl

Nice shot. Your tank deserves some more pics please. Are you contemplating on starting a travelogue for this trip?

Thanks for the words. What i heard from the 3rd row passengers (to ensure that they were comfortable) i rotated them in the complete trip even my sister & mother also sat in the 3rd row and what i heard from my sister that she is more comfortable in the 3rd row than the middle row and she was happy to sit in the 3rd row for the complete trip and she did it. stupid:

Just to be sure that there is no bumpy ride for the 3rd row i was driving it sedately on the bad roads, but on highway i drove it in 3 digit speeds and no complaints from the 3rd row occupants.clap:

I do have Magnetic sunshades installed on my tank, since it was raining in the complete trip there was no issue with respect to cooling while going to vizag(sunshades were removed), and while coming it had sunshades all the time.

Unfortunately i was not carrying my Camera hence i don't have good pics, but i have some which i shot earlier which i am attaching and the same has already been posted them in earlier posts.

Sir I feel really sad with your situation.

However, I am completely satisfied with my AMT. The only downside is see is it does not have a hill hold function.

I met another person during my service and he also mentioned the exact same thing. He did miss the hill hold function as well.

The tank is running like a charm past 5k mark. I am keeping a close eye on the coolant and the level is still the same. While gearing up for the upcoming monsoon, i noticed the rear washer is throwing out water in spurts. Will get it fixed soon.

Nice to read the new posts after a bit of a hiatus. Looks like the TUV (apart from the AMT issues) seems to be fairing reasonably well with the early owners.

As far me, our TUV is chugging well except for the minor niggles already reported in this thread. BTW, I got a call from the dealer/service centre to take a feedback about the vehicle. I mentioned about the second row seat issues namely the inadequate under-thigh support and cushioning and asked if there is a possibility of replacing/correcting them as a good will gesture for the early adopters since from the AutocarIndia review of the new TUV it appears like this issue has been addressed. The CRM said as such there are no circulars on this but she said she will definitely take this as a customer feedback and highlight it. I guess there is no harm in asking, right?

That is some good news. I agree the third row might not be the most spacious place to be in, however the suspension tunig of the TUV does make that place comfortable and don't give those bumps/jerks, which is a given for a seat placed directly on top of the wheel.

That is a good practice & one must follow it if the third row seats are occupied

Yes, these shades are quite effective & I am now using them even for my daily drives to office.

Nice pictures there. One thing I forgot to ask. Since you have crossed the 10K mark on the odo had you got your 10K service done before embarking on this trip and it is due now? In any case please do share the service details, part & labor costs as well.

I did but it was almost 3 months prior. In normal traffic conditions there is no much difference, on the highway i did feel TUV effortlessly reached 3 digits (110 kmph) and still has juice in it to take more on the A padle, we are 4 adults in the bull. I have not noticed any noise from the engine or any other rattles from the doors or windows during the TD.

The agent was pushing me to take the 80bhp which is readly available in all colors except blue and was offering almost Rs 50000 discounts as well, also metioned that the production of 80bhp will be discontinued, however not sure how true this is. Might be they are looking to clear the 80 bhp stocks. There is a 2 week waiting period for the new 100 bhp bookings.

I did ask if the 80 bhp can be upgraded by any tunnings of engine or the software, and the response was negative, he mentioned that there are some components (Hose Kit, etcs) which are upgraded to handle the extra horses.

I just dropped my Tank for the service today afternoon. Unfortunately i didn't had time to get the Tank serviced before the trip as it was planned in a jiffy, will pickup my tank tomorrow from the Authorized Service Center and would post the updates accordingly, but the Quote which was given to me by the SA was around 4000- 4500 would be the bill. clap:

I did receive a similar call and took my appt. but no one turned up at the given time. Few months back, they have recorded my video interview as well for the social media, but I cant see it anywhere yet. :)

An insider tells me the AMT will be soon relaunched as the demand is massive. Also, the 100 bhp engine is mainly to cope for the off-roading abilities with the possibility of the future 4WD model.

AMT will be relaunched? I didn't get that as they have already relaunched as 100 bhp engine discontinuing the 81 bhp. What else they will do now?

Good to know that. Please share the details once you pick up your tank.

Maybe a change in AMT technology. I am really not sure on this. Guess all the complaints they received made them opt for a better technology in coming times.

Has any existing AMT owners driven the AMT duster ? Wonder how different is it to TUV AMT.
