This issue was reported by our review team as well. And while the "goods may far outweigh the bad", and "we should not let the minor niggles cloud our opinion of an exceptional vehicle"; the quality has to be spot on for a car with wafer thin dealer network. We can't be expecting a person residing in Jammu coming to Ludhiana or Chandigarh every other day to get this expected phenomenon examined.
This is likely to cast apprehensions in the minds of people stretching out of their comfort zone to own this beauty.
WSL Mohali - the lesser said the better. The pre-sales teams send extremely cryptic replies to sales queries. I really hope that their after sales teams belong to another planet altogether.

Definitely not good no matter how much you are paying for a car. Are they in pressure due to the number of bookings? The least they could do is address the issue immediately and gain the confidence of the customer. Hope the Chennai chapter would be different as I am getting delivery this Friday.

Exactly the kind of news they should have strived to avoid, with all the hundreds of kilometers the vehicle has been seen testing on our roads - this is a small issue that should have been picked up in the quality control process.

Not a good first impression as far as Mopar service is concerned.

There can be cases where faulty parts make way into the product completely missing the quality checks, even best of the companies can face this including Toyota.
But FCA should be very clear how their dealers and staff handle the situation. Not acknowledging the problem is the worst thing to do, completely shatters customer confidence.
XUV had many issues in early days but Mahindra always took responsibility for all issues, today after six years it is still the segment leader.

If you wanted the traditional Jeep looks in a compact SUV package - Renegade would be more suited for your tastes.

Any idea if the Wrangler 2-door will be brought to India, and NOT via the CBU route (so as to make it prohibitively expensive)?

Today I saw a Compass test mule with black bumpers. The front one was very accommodating as far as off-road is concerned and then I saw the red emblem with text "Trail rated" on the side of the bonnet clap:. I dont know if it was a manual or AT.

Did FCA hear our prayers and is gearing up to provide us with the Trail Hawk variant? please:

KitUp, the car customizer from Coimbatore, has already modified the Jeep Compass, an SUV that was just launched in India a month ago
On the outside, it’ll take a trained eye to catch the subtle changes. Up front, the changes are mainly to the colour scheme of the vehicle. While the normal Compass comes with a two-tone colour theme with a lot of black parts, they now have been made body coloured.
All the plastic cladding around the vehicle is now body coloured. The Compass gets a dual tone black roof option on the top of the line Limited (O) variant, which this is not so Kit Up has painted the roof black. The rims have been repainted in a custom titanium shade with red accents, to make it look more appealing.
One main change has been done to the lighting of the vehicle. While there is no option of LED lights on the Compass, the owner has now opted for a LED light package, that includes both the headlamps and the fog lamps. At the back, a SRT badge has been added as well, something that does look a little out of place.

Definitely has a place in 'The weird and whacky thread'. Destroyed a great looking SUV. The guy doesn't have any aesthetic sense! Feeling sorry for that Red Compass.

That's what I too felt, the originality is gone.

The Compass looks like it has dark circles now, with that black paint beneath the headlamps. Also a lot of the rugged character has been lost by converting all the plastic cladding to body color.

To each, his own. But IMHO this seems to be a rushed attempt, to be one of the first modified Compass SUVs in the country to garner attention.

Can anyone please share the PCD and Offset for Jeep Compass?

wanted to explore matching aftermarket alloy wheels, hence the ask.

That's because they have tried to make the Compass look like the Grand Cherokee SRT Night Edition. :)

But it's simply not working on the Compass. They have ruined it. Especially those body colored bits as you have rightly pointed out.

It is 114.3 with 5 bolts.

Do check with the dealer too. I saw different OEM alloy wheel options over here.

A friend of mine is behind the dealer to get the TD of the MultiAir for a few weeks now. He asked the sales person about meeting this weekend and guess what his reply was. The staff at the dealer will be away this Saturday for a offsite and celebration as they have hit 600 bookings here. :D

Is the MultiAir available? In Bangalore - I've only seen the Multijet variants at the dealership till now.

The Multi - Air is yet to be launched commercially. So, getting a TD at any dealer seems a remote possibility right now.

Has the Jeep Compass prices revised post cess hike? Can anyone share the revised price list?

The post cess prices for Compass not yet announced. They might wait till atleast Dusshehara or maybe Diwali (over optimistic) .
