@Gene Checked with FCA and confirmed that extended warranty is for all the Jeep compass, there may be a communication from FCA to dealers. The offer price is till 31st May 2019. More details to come.
Came across this absolutely delightful travelogue. Check out the capabilities of the Compass.

Wow! Lovely video. It's amazing to see a winter road trip to Spiti. How many cars and crew were there to cover this? Beautiful photography. Brought back memories of the Ladakh road trip in Tucson that I did years ago. It was in June and I have always wondered if Tucson would manage the same trip in December/January.
Thanks for sharing :thumbs up
Now there is a new Jeep dealership (PPS Motors) near Electronic City on the Hosur road (Bangalore). This is right next to BMW and Volvo showroom. With some discounts going on for the 2018 model, I decided to do a quick visit.
For 2018 model 4x4 Limited, the cash discount is 1.2L + 80K exchange bonus + Some corporate discount + Some discount on the insurance. Overall its in the range of 2.5L if you go for a exchange. However only limited colours are available.
What I liked about this showroom is its closer to the NICE road :D. I didn't get a chance to test drive 4x4 as it was already out for a test drive when I went. I drove a base variant 4x2 model. And it was just 300Kms around on the ODO.
I was told that BS6 is not going to make any difference for Compass as it is already Euro 6 compliant which they claim is equivalent to BS6. I have asked them for more clarification on this though. Anyone here have any information on this?
Some pics from the showroom, its huge. Service center is behind this showroom. I also saw few Abarths parked there.
All colors were on the display including a black and white which was parked behind these cars
Just had my 30k service done. Have had absolutely zero issues and the car was giving a mileage of around 16. Do note that more than 50% of my running is on the Noida Expressway.
The adviser asked to change the battery. This was a bit of a surprise as my previous car swift had needed replacement at 70k. They also mentioned that the battery is only under a one year warranty. I escalated the matter and got a very strange reply. The same battery is under a two year warranty if sold by Exide. When Jeep sells it as part of the car they provide only one year warranty with it. Expected better from what claims to be premium SUV.
Jeep Compass: Facelift
What it could look like
The Jeep Compass is a couple of years old in India, and worldwide, the SUV is over 4 years old, which means that the time’s ripe for a facelift.
As the render indicates, the facelifted Jeep Compass seems to take off from the Jeep Grand Commander 7 seat SUV in terms of the front end design. The grille is now more imposing while the headlamps are sleeker. The front bumper has also seen a full revision. The SUV also gets a refresh at the rear with new tail lamps. The profile shows a minor change with revised alloy wheels. Together, the changes at the front and rear do make the Compass look much fresher than the current version, which will begin to lose its sheen even in the Indian market in a year or two.

Hi!
Did you inquire about the Trailhawk edition of the Compass?
Any of you have any further information on the Trailhawk variant?
After making a decision of buying Compass Petrol AT, read a few reviews and feeling a little disappointed.
Mileage is one major factor. Also read that sales of AT is very less, not sure about the reasons (can somebody enlighten me please).
Need suggestions please
1. Should I go for Compass petrol AT? I really want to buy an AT, be it Compass or any other.
2. Mileage of an(y) AT car is quite concerning. Is it around 7-8kmpl?
3. Also I am more interested in SUV, any SUV automatic having a considerably good mileage? (I know compass is unmatchable in other aspects)

No. As reported by many who have a driven the Compass AT, the petrol is a sub par experience.
While the engine is proven and reliable, the gearbox is not.
Good economy from a petrol AT SUV is next to impossible, unless the car is driven mostly on highways. Your options open up with diesel engines.
If you can spend Compass money, why not spend a little more and get a VW Tiguan or a Hyundai Tucson diesel? The latter is soon to replaced but still makes a strong case mainly due to the Hyundai badge up front.

Thank you for this feedback. I was so much inclined towards compass for its looks. I will have to drop it then.

I liked Tiguan too. Infact, my search started with Tiguan. I feel it looks a but dull, but the features are quite rich. Its pricey for me, not in my budget.

My usage isnt so much, so would diesel engine wouldnt make justice. Hence petrol is what I am thinking.
But, no good mileage with petrol AT? :Frustrati.
I will have to read reviews on Diesel AT cars.
Thank you for the response.
Pretty disappointed to cancel compass booking.
Does 2019 model cars come with the mandatory beep @80Kmph and @120Kmph? Or Jeep is yet to implement this in Compass?

As an AT owner I don't agree that the engine is sub par. The power is more than sufficient to enjoy driving. There are a few quirks which one has to get used to, but I've had mine for more than a year now and am enjoying it fully. It was more than able to keep up with the Diesel versions on the highway as well, on one of the Jeep group drives that I attended.
Yes if you move from a Manual to an AT, you will have to get used to the difference in driving experience, and there are certain situations at low speed where there's a lag while it finds the right gear, but it happens rarely for me.
Definition of "good milage" will vary for different people. I have been getting a consistent 10 kmpl over the past 9000+ km. I don't ever reset my Trip meter B just to keep a track of this :).
My driving is a daily ~30k commute between Gurgaon and Delhi which is probably 50% city and 50% highway driving.
As I've got used to the car, my kmpl has been getting better ... current tankfull is running at about 11.3 kmpl.
The thing that seems to kill the fuel economy is frequent, harsh aceleration - if that's your driving style, then this is not the car for you.

I opted for an Extended Warranty on my Fiat, but under the name of mechanical failure, it was only engine damage that was covered as part of fine print, and other suspension related aspects were not. |
For my linea, shock absorber, glow plug, lower arm and alternator were replaced under extended warranty.
Regarding Jeep extended warranty, as per the information in their website.
"The Mopar Extended Warranty provides Extended Warranty coverage similar to the Manufacturers’ Standard Warranty with few exclusions."
Not sure on what those exclusions are.
Since launch of Compass, I had it in mind for a replacement of my Linea some time in 2020/2021. But an unplanned test drive plus the ongoing discounts convinced me to book a Compass 4x4 Limited(O). Expecting the delivery by next week.
