Guys ,
Quick question.
With the launch of the Trail Hawk variant of the Jeep Compass around the corner , or already launched , depending on when you are reading this.
Is there any news on the automatic variants of the Diesel Compass ( non Trailhawk Version ) ?

I read that there i a new variant of the Compass with more ‘luxury’ features set to launch soon to celebrate some even or some thing.

Jeep officials as usual had no idea about this when i asked my dealer (he had no idea about the trailhawk as well).

This new jeep is set to launch with 19” dual tone alloys as well as upgraded infotainment and some other premium features. I’m not sure whether it’s confirmed or not but if so it’ll be a good upgrade.:thumbs up

The trailhawk here already gets the same infotainment as the international spec if I am not mistaken. I am not sure what else could be crammed into the compass for another pseudo trim level other than maybe ventilated seats

Jeep is India's most trusted automobile brand: Brand Trust Report 2019

This could be considered as a significant achievement with the American auto manufacturer winning trust of Indian customers after just 3 years of operations here. Also, the company's no. 2 ranking is a big leap from its last year ranking of 533. (Source)

Guys, we're looking at installing after-market pedals like the one shown in the attachment. Folks at the authorized service say they won't be able to fix this.
As these are official jeep accessories, does someone here know where they are available? If not, we'll have to get it shipped from UK. So apart from availability, if anyone can guide me to a good place who can install this in Bangalore, it would really help. Thanks!

So then the only goody missing here, compared to the Trailhawk, would be the "rock mode", right? If priced right, this would be an obvious choice over the Trailhawk.

You missed the most important low range box that the Trailhawk has. For most people it won't make much of a difference but the Trailhawk is a niche product that is positioned towards the off road enthusiasts.
Simply put the Trailhawk is the only fully fared compact SUV in India. Not including the likes is Thar and Gurkha as their clientele is totally different.

The million dollar question is whether they would offer the AT box without a 4X4. If yes, what happens to the first gear?

Logically they should. The 1st gear in that case might not be as short as in the 4x4/Trailhawk. Even the engine tuning should be slightly different (read : aggressive) without the 4x4 system.

Have you researched on Ali Express? There are plenty of attractive after market pedal covers available there that are supposedly easy to install (DIY). I've recently purchased a few for the Endeavour. I'm yet to install them though - will do over the coming weekend.

Second Service @ PPS/MPS Motors.

With ODO closer to 15K Kms, I got the second servicing done. This servicing included, All filter changes, Engine oil replacement, tyre rotation and wheel alignment. The total bill came to 9K+.

I didn't want to do the alignment during this service as I didn't see any issue with it, however they forced me by saying my warranty will be at risk if the wheel alignment is not done there. So, I agreed. But after taking the delivery, I found out that they have messed up the alignment:Frustrati. Later, I had to get it done again outside to resolve the issue. I wonder if they have the right technicians to do the wheel alignment as this is the second time they have screwed up the alignment.

Overall, it was not a great experience.

Ill have a look. Is there any brand that you would suggest? Also for DIY, let me know how it goes so that i can take your inputs while doing it on mine!
