Hi Everyone. Need a quick suggestion about a DEF error that I have encountered while driving on the highway. An error message related to DEF has suddenly popped up on the screen. The exact error message is “E11 Wrong DEF Detected”. The DEF level is currently at 52% and nothing new has been added since the last service.

I am currently on the highway and want to know if it is safe to continue the journey or should the car not be driven in this state. Attaching picture of the error for reference.

Any information will be highly appreciated

The error message has now changed to “ E12 Wrong DEF detected. Engine will not start in 800 Kms

Not a XUV700 Owner but here is what is mentioned in the Owner's Manual.

The instrument cluster clearly shows that it is a DPF error.

As mentioned above in the picture you can continue driving but you need to visit the Authorised Mahindra Dealer as there seems to be an issue with the DPF Quality.

Did you refill DPF somewhere outside?

Found this in the owners manual.

Seems to be either a quality issue with DEF or a possible contamination.
Any chance water or other fluid found its way in DEF tank? Heard about a similar incident where a sleepy fuel pump operator opened the DEF cap to fill the fuel but the alert owner stopped him in time.

Anyway, whatever the reason you need to head to the service centre as soon as possible as the alerts are going to appear in stages as shown and soon the engine might be unable to restart to prevent further damage.

AX7L petrol owners are you guys using Auto Hold feature? Is there any negative impact of using Auto hold on fuel efficiency?

I think there's a negligible impact on fuel efficiency while using auto hold but it increases quality of life by a lot rl:

Thank you. Did not fill DPF from outside. The last time the DPF was filled was at the service Center and have driven about 6000 km since then.

Not using it and neither using auto stop...not sure about the fuel effeciency though...

My routine is
  1. Unlock
  2. Wait for the welcome seat to come back
  3. Press start button
  4. Disengage electronic brake
  5. Disengage Auto Start Stop
  6. Put in gear and drive

:)

Inability of Mahindra to sort out infotainment problems is really getting on the nerves.
Why do I have to load the navigation maps afresh every time I start the car ? Why doesn't it remember the setting like audio source ?

I received my XUV700 a few weeks ago, and I've been trying to link Alexa to it. Every time I enter the code on Amazon.com and grant permission, I receive the following error: 'An error occurred while registering your device,' as depicted in the image below. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

I have tried both Amazon.in and Amazon.com; however, even the .in site redirects to .com

Hi BHPians,

This is my first post so pardon any errors on the posting front.
I have booked an AX7L Diesel midnight black and currently my estimated delivery is Nov-December 2023, however there is an AX7 available at the moment. Do you think it is good to wait and go for the AX7L or take the AX7 instead...

The 360 degree camera and 12 Sony system are the major misses , the other ones I am not too concerned about.

What is your expert opinion.

360 camera is very useful if you drive or park in tight lanes. Also you cannot get 360 camera installed from outside without voiding the warranty

I was in the same boat few months back.

Had booked AX7, but later on took the AX7L and have no regrets.

1. 360 camera is totally worth it
2. The speakers might not be best in class but surely a leap ahead of AX7
3. Wireless charging is not the best, heats up the phone and if you are running android auto, will discharge faster than it charges
4. Blind view monitor is a really good feature
5. Keyless entry is a nice to have
6. Plus lot of other things are totally worth the price and wait.
