This is the white footwell light which is a part of the S-Cross Zeta and Alpha variant, as you can see, it's much brighter than the orange and the bluish/green footwell lights. Its part number is 36550M64M30. |
Is the installation just a plug and play job or does it require removal of any screw and panel?

It's a simple plug and play process, but the passenger side footwell light requires you to remove the glove box first.
You have to put your hand behind the footwell light and pull it upwards to remove it. If you're doing a DIY job, then I suggest doing the passenger side first so you can remove the glove box and see how it's removed. You can then remove the driver side footwell light and replace that as well.
I will try to send images if I find the time.

This is the view after removing the glove box.

The footwell light from above. Pull it upwards to remove it.

Once removed, just pull the white cable which gives it electricity.

You can now swap the footwell light with any other color of your choice.
Repeat the steps in reverse order to put it back in place, I hope this post was helpful.

I have ordered the part from MSGA website and will be getting it within the next week. This will be of great help while installing. :thumbs up
Does anyone have any workaround to get around the 4GB USB limit on the Maruti Infotainment system?
For the people who have the variants Lower than the Alpha ( top Variant ) and are missing Cruise control. Good news is that since the ECU's are the same, there is no programming / Coding required to enable cruise control.
I have done a test run on my close friend's Glanza for cruise control. I have done a test wiring since i wanted to see if the ECU supports it or not. Hence i was sitting in the passenger side with the cruise buttons and manually triggering cruise and testing it out while my friend is driving on an empty stretch of road.
Cruise works as expected and also the Instrument cluster shows the cruise indication along with the set speed. It also cuts off if clutch or Brake is applied.

This Test run was done on my Friend's Glanza CNG G Variant which is the top most variant in the CNG Line. Shame that Maruti / Toyota decided to skip this even though the ECU and wiring support is present. Even till date the CNG top variant doesnt have cruise control from factory.
Need a bit of time to source the pins and I will update accordingly here in about a month or so.
