Did your Zen have crumple zones and have high marks for pedestrian safety? If Tucson had the same bumper as Zen, it would fail both passenger and pedestrian safety tests. Vehicle safety standards have changed a lot since last couple decades. |

The engine oil capacity for the Tucson Diesel was previously mentioned as 7.6L but has now been updated to 5.6L. Also engine oil grade changed from - "ACEA C2 0W30" to "ACEA C5 0W20" Seeking expert advice: Should the excess 2L of engine oil be drained? |

This is strange from Hyundai. Since the beginning, Diesel owners have used 7.6L of engine oil. Why this sudden change? They have even reduced the oil capacity. During my last two services, even the service technicians acknowledged that 7.6L of engine oil is for Diesel Tucson. Looking for some transparency from Hyundai on this |

I am not sure about the manual but I have checked their website & got the information that Diesel Tucson oil capacity is 7.6L. I am attaching the screenshot for reference which I took two days back & shared with one of my FB friend. Also not sure what needs to be done further I have driven the car with 7.2L engine oil for more than 23,000 + KMS. |

I spoke to this vendor (Automotive Lighting Experts - FE Retrofit) long back. His name is Anton. One of my other friends also enquired about the Octo Q for his Fortuner. While Anton mentioned that this is plug-and-play (I did not go into the details), my friend went a little deeper to get more clarifications and details. Anton did not revert with an appropriate response - in fact, Anton did not even respond. So it looks like it is not a 100% plug-and-play with 0 cut and paste. Can you please again confirm with Retrofit about the plug-and-play thing and 0 damage to the existing set-up? |

I recently got the first free service (10,000 km / 1 year) done on my Tucson Signature diesel AWD at Kolkata. Engine oil, oil filter, engine air filter and AC air filter were changed. Brakes were cleaned and wheels rotated (diagonally). The entire service (including parts and labour) was completely free. I only paid Rs 20.00 for a pouch of windshield washer fluid. Wheel alignment was not done (found not necessary during test drive). |

I did NOT opt for any additional service / maintenance pack. First 3 annual services are supposed to be totally free. You need to pay only if you insist on using fully synthetic engine oil. |

My Tucson's first service is due soon. I'm getting conflicted messaging from across the board regarding the cost of consumables like engine oil. Can you clarify whether by any chance opted for the service/maintenance pack? I have not opted for that, but in the manual it says consumables will be paid for by the customer, while the service calculator shows it as free and the first instance of it being paid is 4th year/40k. The service center folks mentioned that the consumables will be charged. |
