If my understanding is correct, it is standard with any Auto Climate Control.
For eg - As you set the temperature to say 22 degrees, once the it is reached, the blower/fan automatically reduces to the optimum speed just to maintain that 22 degrees. This happens especially when our body takes longer than usual to settle/cool down sometimes. The solution is to either increase the blower/speed manually or reduce the temperature.

Your explanation sounds logical, but the three passengers inside the car were sweating and the AC was not blowing cold air anymore. I had seen a similar problem with my Vento climate control and it was resolved after software update. I would bring it up during the first servicing and see if anything can be done about this. Till then, as you suggested, would be fiddling with the controls.

One unnerving incident that happened was during a short trip with family, the car was in eco mode and i purposely accelerated hard. The car picked up pace and the steering was feeling so light that the car never seemed in control. It was scary. I guess, i need to either be in smart mode or avoid hard acceleration in eco mode. Did anyone else face this?

I had this experience in every car that I sat in including BMW, Harrier, XUV700, etc. The time to cool the cabin is not the same as the time to cool our body. The time to cool the cabin is totally dependant on the ambient and outside temperature. But the time that our body takes to cool down depends on multiple factors. No 2 times are the same even if the same factors repeat the second time. Anyway keep us posted if there is any software update.

Quick question... Are the wiper blades covered by the 3 year support coverage? or would they be charged extra? If they are covered, I would rather get them replaced for free (someone on the group mentioned that) else I would like to get the Bosch Aerotwin wiper.

Greetings everyone, I'm excited to join this community! As a newcomer, I'm seeking some expert advice on my upcoming car purchase. After driving a Honda City for the past 12 years and covering 1 lakh km with routine maintenance, I've decided it's time for a change. I'm considering the Tucson 2023 petrol with ADAS2 features as my "sunset" car, intending to keep my Honda City as a second vehicle.

I'd greatly appreciate any insights or experiences from experts or fellow members who have used the signature petrol version of the Tucson. Your feedback will be invaluable in helping me make an informed decision.

Additionally, I'm eager to hear any tips or strategies for negotiating the best price for a 2023 model. With the 2024 facelift for the Tucson on the horizon, I want to ensure I'm getting the best deal possible.

VAGs have had this as a known issue. Even their 2.0 cars were infamous for this issue initially which was fixed through updates. But its surprising that Hyundai AC - that too Tucson is not able to cool down the cabin! Sometimes its our body that's not settled because, when we sit in the cabin from outside, the cooling starts increasing incrementally and body feels the same and expects the cooling to continue to increase[Law of inertia]. But when set temperature is reached the cooling stops further, our brain needs time to process that this is the ambient temperature and set our internal thermostat accordingly. But if people are sweating then some corrective steps need to be taken like - software update / window shades[starmate] / AC coolant-filter check. Hope you have checked that rear AC controls and settings are turned ON. Note, in one of our test drives in Tucson, by mistake I had turned on heated seats instead of ventilated ones. It spoilt the TD thinking that AC is not effective.

Hyundai's are known for their light steering, you may be feeling this especially more since coming from a Vento. Few 1000 kms should help accustom to it - again law of inertia :). Congrats on the Tucson and best wishes for a great long term ownership!

Got my Hyundai Tucson delivered on 12th April 2024 :Cheering:

Ditched diesel for the strict NGT norms in NCR.

Initial impressions from first 1000 KMs drive:

1. Buttery smooth engine which makes the whole drive effortless.
2. Light footed pedal can take you linearly upto 90 KMPH.
3. Got upto 14.4 KMPL for my 30 KM home to office drive.
City drives fetches me upto 9-10 KMPL.
4. Plush interiors especially the symmetric metal design philosophy around dashboard and doors which also comprise the air diffusers. I personally feel the upcoming 2025 facelift distorted this feel for accomodating a long joint screen ;)
5. Family is super happy to fit in the rear reclining seats with panoramic sunroof view. Got huge space and with a big deep boot.
6. The front head lights I feel do have bit of less flux and a projector based setup would have helped. Though the visibility is not bad with the reflector setup.
7. The auto pop up 360 degree view in tight spaces and in traffic is a boon. Also it's making me to relearn myself to keep safe distance between cars bumpers.

Over all a pleasant experience so far. Waiting eagerly for a long drive review.

Finally after 19000 kms, my Tucson( bought in Oct2022) gave me a "low urea" warning. I went to a nearby gas station and bought the 20L MAK Adblue. The Manager was surprised to hear that I am topping it after so many kilometers. He said that for other cars, the top-up has to be done more frequently.

It costed me 1400 for the 20l and I would have used almost 16l from that bucket, even though the Hyundai manual states that the capacity for DEF liquid is 14l.

Just thought of sharing my experience with Adblue top-up and also would like to know if others had similar experience with their Tucson.

I am at ~14000 KMs and DEF level is 3/4th mark still. I expect, I will also need it close to 20,000 KM mark as well. I expected a refill/ top-up at every 10,000 KMs so its a good surprise.

I am around 15000 after 13 months, and the level is slightly below 50% mark (40%-45%) Hope to get a top up during the 20k service. The Hyundai Service Center guy had told me it will be covered as a part of the service..

Got the 40K service done for my Signature AWD Tucson. Total bill came at 13K INR at Joshi Hyundai Mohali Punjab. Seems reasonable.
No unplanned replacement. Brake pads are still good and tires can last another 10K.

The DPF fluid was replenished at 30K and still showing at 70% full.

Overall fuss free ownership. The car is a delight to drive. Has all the creature comforts you can ask for. Only hassle is switching off the ADAS forward collision every time.

I don't believe in taking tires to the last mile as the noise has increased and punctures are frequent.

Am thinking about continental ContiSport or Primacy SUV.
Due to AWD I was thinking of Yoko Geolander but was told they don't stand close to the two I mentioned above.

Has anyone here upgraded tires yet for their Tucson?
