Mine is in the initial run-in phase but a mix of city and ghat roads is giving me around 14 (tank to tank). Pure city with short distances and crawling traffic is between 9-11. All this is with AC running throughout in Pune's scorching summer and sedate driving.

I agree, Suzuki K12 is a beautiful engine and probably the best NA engine around for power and efficiency but try going for manual if you want to enjoy it's full potential. Also these 4 cyl NA engines might not survive the next round of emission standards so grab it if it suits your requirement.

Thanks for the FE numbers
That's one of the major push points along with the "if not now then when" feeling. MT is the best option to explore the engine so waiting for the TD vehicle. Since the 1.2 doesn't require a lot of gear changes that's a good option too. Even the AGS kept the Baleno in D2 in almost stop-go conditions and it pulled away without a sweat. I forced it to M1 once but realised immediately that it wasn't needed at all.
Looking back at the TD I feel that had this been a 1.2 4cylinder turbo AT, the experience would've been so much better.

Thanks for your prompt replies and happy driving with your Fronx, I will update on how things pan out after I take the TD of the 1.2 MT.

The machined-cut alloys are cheaper than the painted ones !
Is this a typo or am I missing something ?

I also noticed the same. Also the Baleno's machine cut alloys are 2k more expensive compared to Fronx's machine cut alloys, not sure about the reason.

Did you managed to get the photo of the Fronx with the Fog lamps ?
Want to see how the car looks without the bezel painted.

I would say not bad at all. At least on your blue colour. Our White Alpha or would-be white Taisor V might have a pop-out effect issue.

How's the performance? What about the low side illumination?

Also what was the final cost and time taken? Dealer or Service Center? (which one in NCR?)

Cheers!

I have the Silver colour and don't know how it will look. Why can't Maruti Suzuki design a better fog lamp using the unused trapezoidal plastic (used as front parking sensors for the Japan variant).

And is the wiring just plug and play or does it require any splicing ?

The throw is not that good and comparable to any other OEM fog lamps which need to comply with CMVR rules. The round lamp unit is similar to new Brezza or XL6 (white LED with reflector setup). But I have researched all the current available options and none of them fits and looks so perfect as this one. Personally, I have paid for the frame, bezel and the wiring harness which can be leveraged later on with other round shaped, suitable projector units.

This even connects with the DRL and dims it when the FL is in use as per CMVR regulations. No splicing, proper coupler to coupler fitment with perfectly designed bracket to hold the harness in place.

Only precaution that needs to be taken is cutting the bumper with perfection, although all the recently manufacturered cars have factory-stamped creases inside the front bumper for exact cut-out to fit the frame.

This is how it looks with a lighter shade.

And this is with your white shade!.

Ah, I saw your car there, had gone to collect my RC. I also checked the fog lamps. They look good. But Maruti should have offered halogen fog lamps as the LED ones are pretty useless in fog or heavy rains.

Same here. I have projector LEDs from my Brezza. All I need is a proper wiring harness and an exact cut to make.

I had seen the Nexa blue so the black merged with the dark blue and didn't stand out like already posted. It would have the pop out effect on lighter shade but its not like the one we saw earlier on the Grand Vitara.
Will get the pics when I go next. Currently sorting out the issue of installing a height adjustable driver seat and how it affects the airbag deployment along with the unavailability of the 1.2 for TD.

Re: Maruti Fronx Review

One of the first functional addition to my car, an automatic IRVM.

Maruti Fronx Review-img_20250429_201822.jpg

This piece was fixed in my Brezza. I had removed it before selling the Brezza when I found that it has the same mount as that in Fronx. The lock was hard but was able to remove it with help. Then the auto IRVM slid into the slot and was tightened. I fixed the wiring using a fuse tap from the 33rd number slot which is of ACC. I even tried the 12 number slot which was for rear fog lamps and 14 number slot which is for seat heater, both functions missing in Fronx. 12 number slot was live even when the car was switched off. And 14 number didn't come alive even on switching on the car. So I selected the 33rd number slot. Checked the current flow using a tester. Then fixed the wiring. I don't have work snaps as I was working alone. Will take snaps later and post.
